This past Christmas, there was a box in my stocking that held something I had half-jokingly added to my wishlist: an \u201cergonomic\u201d grip that raises, widens, and adds wireless charging to Apple\u2019s Magic Mouse 2. It\u2019s like a little boot with a Lightning adapter tongue that plugs right into your Magic Mouse\u2019s underbelly. Best of all, it\u2019s magnetic, making it perfect for use with a MagSafe puck. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Does this thing totally ruin the sleek Apple aesthetic? Absolutely! And I\u2019m not even remotely convinced by its cheap-feeling plastic that it will last longer than a few months before it just stops working. Yet, somehow, it\u2019s exactly what the Magic Mouse needs. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
What it\u2019s called doesn\u2019t really matter, because this isn\u2019t a product any company you\u2019ve ever heard of makes \u2014 instead, it showed up on Amazon, seemingly around August or so, under several different company names. Mine is branded Tatofy<\/a>, but you can find it under brand names like Zeehoo<\/a>, Bluerin<\/a>, or Superyofo<\/a>. They\u2019re all like 30 bucks, and they\u2019re almost certainly all exactly the same product. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The housing\u2019s grip isn\u2019t perfect. Wireless charging can be iffy sometimes, and the magnet is very weak, so it\u2019ll slip right off of a MagSafe stand. And where the bottom part of it meets the top, there\u2019s a giant seam that loves to collect crud.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
