Ashley revealed in a January 19, 2024, Instagram post<\/a> that she nearly died after going into septic shock while on vacation. \u201cWhile on holiday in December into New Years, what started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs. I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told,\u201d she began.<\/p>\n

The actress spent time in \u201cthree foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs,\u201d and had \u201ccountless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain.\u201d She added, \u201cI\u2019m still in the throes of recovery \u2014 but I now know I\u2019m safely on the other side of the worst.\u201d<\/p>\n
