Frankie Bridge<\/a> thinks she’s been more self-conscious because of her fame and success.<\/p>\n

Frankie Bridge has struggled with body image issues<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old beauty struggled with her body image during her younger years, after she shot to stardom as part of The Saturdays<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Frankie told New! magazine: “I think it’s something that’s always going to be in the back of my mind. I’ve always been that way inclined.<\/p>\n

“I think with especially with what I do as a job, you are more self-aware. But I am genuinely better with it now.<\/p>\n

“Looking after myself is not just about working out or eating right. It’s making sure I’m ticking off all the boxes that bring me joy throughout the day.<\/p>\n

\n“I think that for people with a lot of self-image issues, some of that comes down to control and feeling like you’ve got all your ducks in a row. It’s not always just about going to the gym.”<\/p>\n

\nFrankie has been open and honest about her mental health struggles over recent years.<\/p>\n

\nBut she’s now developed a better understanding of her troubles.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: “When you understand that it’s a medical thing, it makes you feel like you’re not just crazy.”<\/p>\n

\nFrankie previously entered a specialist mental health hospital after realising that she “couldn’t cope with everyday life”.<\/p>\n

\nThe brunette beauty – who is married to former soccer star Wayne Bridge – told BBC Radio 1: “I’d reached a point where I couldn’t cope with everyday life.<\/p>\n

\n“I was constantly crying and telling my partner [footballer Wayne Bridge] that I didn’t really want to be here anymore.”<\/p>\n

\nFrankie now feels “proud” to have emerged from her mental health struggles.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: “I still suffer with depression and anxiety but I just know how to deal with it better now.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
