Patrick Mahomes<\/b><\/a>\u2019 dad, <\/span>Pat Mahomes<\/b>, has nothing but good things to say about <\/span>Taylor Swift <\/b><\/a>amid her romance with <\/span>Travis Kelce<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s down to earth,\u201d Pat, 53, told Kansas City outlet Starcade Media<\/a> about Taylor, 34, during an interview published on Thursday, January 18. \u201cI actually walked up and introduced myself to her and she said that she knew who I was because she had watched [Netflix\u2019s] Quarterback series.\u201d<\/p>\n Pat then recalled taking a picture with the \u201cCruel Summer\u201d singer, his wife and daughter when they first met. \u201cSo I mean, she was genuine,\u201d he continued. \u201cEvery time I\u2019ve hung out with her, she just acts like a normal person.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor has gotten to know the Mahomes family while watching Travis, 34, play with the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only has she spent time with the quarterback\u2019s parents, but Taylor has also grown close with his wife, Brittany Mahomes<\/strong>. The women are regularly seen watching the games in suites together, while Taylor has even been featured in several of Brittany\u2019s Instagram posts.<\/p>\n \u201cTwinning & Winning<\/span><\/a>,\u201d the mother of two, 28, captioned a handful of photos of her and Taylor wearing jersey-inspired jackets that repped Travis and Patrick, 28, via <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Monday, January 15.<\/p>\n After the couple confirmed their romance in September 2023, they have become more serious and even celebrated Christmas and New Year\u2019s Eve together<\/a>.<\/p>\n The pair has not been shy when it comes to discussing their relationship, while Travis told The Wall Street Journal<\/span><\/i><\/a> that a \u201cCupid\u201d was responsible for setting him up<\/span> with Taylor<\/span><\/a> during a November 2023 interview.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: \u2018Yo! Did you know he was coming?\u2019 I had somebody playing Cupid,\u201d the professional athlete said as he recalled attending Taylor\u2019s Eras tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium on July 7, 2023.<\/p>\n Travis first expressed his interest during an August 2023 episode of his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast, revealing that he wanted to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number<\/a> on it. After he shared that he wasn\u2019t able to get the bracelet to Taylor, he said someone in her camp heard about his attempt and helped connect them.<\/p>\n Once the \u201cEnchanted\u201d singer reached out to him, Travis said \u201cshe told [him] exactly what was going on and how [he] got lucky enough to get her to reach out.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor also recalled the beginning of their romance when she was named TIME<\/span><\/i><\/a>\u2019s Person of the Year in December 2023. \u201cThis all started when <\/span>Travis very adorably put me on blast<\/span><\/a> on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cWe started hanging out right after that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
