He didn\u2019t wait until the new year to get his fitness game on track. Since filing for divorce<\/a> from Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> in August, Sam Asghari<\/strong><\/a> has shed a whopping 40 pounds. But he\u2019s not calling it a revenge body.<\/p>\n \u201cI always love to be in shape,\u201d Sam exclusively told Life & Style<\/em> on January 7 at the Young Hollywood & the Breakout Stars of 2023 event, presented by Affinity and Tequila Don Julio, in L.A. \u201cBut at the same time, you have to find a balance of being in great shape and also enjoying your life, so sometimes it\u2019s OK to not be in the best shape as long as you are able to get back the second you decide to.\u201d<\/p>\n Not every decision has seemingly been as effortless for Sam, though. He and Britney, 42, were together for a total of nearly seven years \u2014 during which they successfully fought to end her conservatorship in order to wed in 2022 and, ideally, start a family \u2014 before the up-and-coming actor pulled the plug on their relationship in 2023. Now he\u2019s vowed to learn from previous mistakes while moving forward.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the past few years, a lot of maturity took place in myself. With age comes wisdom and life experience,\u201d Sam, 29, says. \u201cThe next year is gonna be a lot of personal growth, a lot of focus on career, and acting specifically. And that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n Dating is definitely off the cards. \u201cI\u2019m not looking for a partner,\u201d Sam insists. \u201cI have a partner at home waiting for me. Her name is Porsha \u2014 my dog!\u201d<\/p>\n The Doberman had been a gift the model and fitness trainer gave to Britney, but Sam got custody post-split \u2014 and the exes were reportedly close to finalizing other matters of their divorce as of November. Indeed, despite Britney initially saying she was \u201cshocked\u201d by the breakup, things appear to have gone as smoothly as possible. Sam\u2019s even expressed support for her bestselling memoir, The Woman in Me<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m freakin\u2019 proud of her,\u201d he said following the tome\u2019s October release. \u201cI hope she takes over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n Of course, his glowing review could be due, in part, to the fact that the book was completed prior to the demise of their romance. In it, Britney gushes of \u201cstable\u201d Sam and their \u201cinsane\u201d chemistry: \u201cHe\u2019s a gift from God.\u201d But Brit has since revealed she\u2019s working on a sequel that would presumably cover their divorce. \u201cVolume 2 will be released [in 2024],\u201d she shared. \u201cGet ready!\u201d<\/p>\nNext Phases<\/h2>\n
