Natalie Portman<\/strong><\/a> is \u201cstill hurt\u201d after Benjamin Millepied<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s affair, but Us Weekly<\/em> insiders say she\u2019s getting a fresh start in 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe didn\u2019t give up on [her marriage] lightly,\u201d a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us<\/em>. \u201cBut it became pretty apparent toward the end of last year that her heart had gone out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second insider notes that \u201cNatalie and Ben actually started having problems over a year ago.\u201d Millepied, 46, \u201cwould sometimes not return home and was taking work trips that didn\u2019t add up,\u201d the source says, adding that Portman, 42, \u201cbegan to suspect infidelity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The May December<\/em> actress \u201cwas humiliated and utterly crushed by Benjamin\u2019s behavior,\u201d the second source claims, explaining that Portman is now \u201ctaking time to focus on herself<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> confirmed in August 2023 that Portman and Millepied separated after 11 years<\/a> of marriage. Their split came after rumors swirled in June 2023 that Millepied was having an affair<\/a> with 25-year-old climate activist Camille \u00c9tienne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While Portman initially stuck by her estranged spouse, she seemingly hinted at the breakup earlier this month when she told The<\/em> Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a> that she \u201clives in Paris with her two children\u201d but didn\u2019t mention Millepied.<\/p>\n

When Portman stepped out at the 2024 Governors Awards<\/a> on January 9, she appeared to be in a new relationship era. The actress was noticeably not wearing her wedding ring.<\/p>\n

Millepied reportedly left his live-in girlfriend, Isabella Boylston<\/strong>, to hook up with Portman after they started to work together on the set of 2010\u2019s Black Swan<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBenjamin is so charming and eloquent \u2014 he really casts a spell on women. He has a power of drawing people in,\u201d the insider says. That charm worked on Portman who married the choreographer<\/a> in 2012. The pair went on to welcome son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, 6.<\/p>\n

Their relationship, however, came to an end in August 2023, which is when \u201cNatalie decided to leave him\u201d and within weeks had \u201cmoved out,\u201d the second source shares. \u201cEven though she has been living with the kids apart from him, he\u2019s still very much in their lives,\u201d the insider says.<\/p>\n

The Star Wars<\/em> actress<\/a> suspects \u201cBen has been cheating on her for many years,\u201d the insider claims to Us<\/em>, but above all Portman \u201cwants to keep the peace for the sake of their family, so she is being very civil.\u201d<\/p>\n
