Sharon Osbourne<\/strong><\/a> doesn\u2019t have any regrets about taking Ozempic<\/a>, despite feeling like the drug made her lose too much weight.<\/p>\n During an appearance on the U.K. talk show Loose Women<\/em><\/a> on Monday, January 15, Sharon, 71, said that the once-weekly injection worked exactly how it was supposed to and gave her the quickest weight loss solution, which was what she wanted.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t regret it. Everything with weight with me was, \u2018I want it now,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cThe injections that I was on worked.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Sharon added that it \u201cseems that now [she] can\u2019t put anything back on really.\u201d She said she wished she could gain 10 pounds back, but she is struggling to do so.<\/p>\n Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>\u2019s wife first admitted on The Talk<\/em> back in May 2023 that she had taken a weight loss drug for four months starting in December 2022 and lost 30 pounds. Though she stopped taking the injection \u2014 she didn\u2019t name Ozempic at the time, but later confirmed that was the drug \u2014 and started eating \u201cnormally\u201d again, she did not gain any weight back.<\/p>\n Then, during an August 2023 appearance on Bill Maher<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cClub Random\u201d podcast, Sharon opened up about Ozempic\u2019s harsh side effects<\/a>. The drug, which is meant for type 2 diabetes patients but often prescribed off-label for weight loss, works by making its user feel fuller faster during meals. It also slows down the digestive process, which makes the full feeling last longer. However, this often comes with intense nausea and sometimes vomiting, among other side effects.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have a weight problem and you\u2019ve tried everything, and then somebody says take this injection and you\u2019re going to be skinny,\u201d Sharon said on the podcast. \u201cFor me, the first few weeks was f\u2013king s\u2013t because you just throw up all the time. You feel so nauseous. After a couple of weeks it goes [away].\u201d<\/p>\n Sharon later revealed that she lost a total of 42 pounds on the drug and weighed under 100 pounds, which wasn\u2019t her intention. In a November 2023 interview with Daily Mail<\/em>, she called herself \u201ctoo gaunt\u201d<\/a> and lamented that she couldn\u2019t gain any weight back. She also urged people to keep the drug away from teenagers.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just too easy,\u201d she said. \u201cYou can lose so much weight and it\u2019s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous. I couldn\u2019t stop losing weight and now I\u2019ve lost 42 pounds and I can\u2019t afford to lose any more.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Even Ozzy, 75, has become concerned about his wife\u2019s thin physique. Sharon revealed on Good Morning Britain<\/em> that the rocker \u201cdoesn\u2019t\u201clike\u201d how much weight she lost<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s scared that something is going to happen to me,\u201d she explained. \u201cHe says, \u2018You\u2019ve got skinny then something else is going to happen.\u2019 He\u2019s always thinking about the downside \u2014 that it\u2019s too good to be true.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
