Kylie Jenner has her critics<\/a>. They are numerous and they are vocal.<\/p>\nBut she also has her fans. This crowd is also sizable and loves to sing Kylie\u2019s praises.<\/p>\n
Not all of Kylie\u2019s fans like everyone in her orbit. Or praise them, for that matter.<\/p>\n

Kylie is a makeup mogul, known for her at-times extreme contouring. But this shows Kylie sporting light makeup that shows off her natural face.<\/p>\nOf course, Kylie is far from the only model in the family.<\/p>\n
She has modeled for numerous shoots, including to showcase her makeup line. And, for many years, she has used her influencer status, modeling products for massive, easy paydays. (And drawn criticism when some of those products are, well, a little dubious)<\/p>\n
Khloe models her clothes. Kourtney models. Kim once broke the internet by modeling. And Kendall Jenner, Kylie\u2019s slightly-older sister, is an international supermodel.<\/p>\nKendall Jenner is throwing her full support behind the Phoenix Suns and her boyfriend Devin Booker. But there\u2019s a chance she\u2019ll have her heart broken tonight.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nKendall posed for Miu Miu<\/em> recently. It was a subdued, heavily understated photoshoot with a clearly minimalist approach.<\/p>\nOver the years, people have accused Kendall of not deserving her supermodel status. Of being hot but not skilled enough to work a camera or a runway at that tier of the industry.<\/p>\n
And critics are arguing that Kendall\u2019s latest shoot isn\u2019t just further evidence of that \u2026 but that it highlights Kylie as the \u201ctrue model\u201d among the Kar-Jenner clan.<\/p>\nCritics can be harsh, as this pair of tweets about the Jenner sisters makes clear.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nPeople have accused Kendall\u2019s pics of being nothing short of \u201cpainfully terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n
As people examine one sister and then the next, they find Kendall lacking in comparison.<\/p>\n
Kylie\u2019s fans have been declaring her to be the more \u201ctalented\u201d model of the two.<\/p>\n\u201cKylie is a talented model I don\u2019t care what anyone says,\u201d one of her stans wrote.<\/p>\n
Another declared that Kylie was \u201ceating Kendall up for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n
And a third praised that \u201cKylie [is] the model one of the Kardashians fasho.\u201d<\/p>\nAll of this praise of Kylie came at a considerable cost to Kendall. At least, in terms of how these same people talk about her.<\/p>\n
They described Kendall\u2019s photoshoot as nothing short of \u201cpainful.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another almost apologetically opined: \u201cKendall can\u2019t model I\u2019m sorry..Kylie is better.\u201d<\/p>\nKendall Jenner is often regarded as the most quiet member of her family. But in an important new interview, the model is speaking out like never before.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nHowever, even in this day and age, some of the Jenner Sister Discourse included some actual nuance.<\/p>\n
One commenter praised them both, citing Kendall\u2019s looks \u201cfor the runway\u201d while praising Kylie\u2019s look \u201cfor print.\u201d<\/p>\n
There are very different types of modeling, and very different types of photoshoots. Perhaps some critics were mixing apples and oranges.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
