Catherine Paiz<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Austin McBroom<\/strong><\/a>, the couple behind the wildly popular YouTube channel \u201cThe Ace Family,\u201d have announced their \u200bsplit after seven years of marriage.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have mutually agreed to a divorce and will part amicably,\u201d Catherine, 33, wrote in a statement posted to Instagram on Thursday, January 11. \u201cOur paths as a couple have shifted and has created challenges that are irreconcilable.\u201d<\/p>\n Catherine continued her message, describing the split as \u201cheartbreaking,\u201d but adding that she feels \u201cliberated\u201d about their decision to part ways. \u201cI have spent the past few years prioritizing my children and honoring my commitment to my family; all the while I seemed to be losing myself and my own personal happiness,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n \u200bShe added that her and Austin\u2019s \u201cmain priority will be to stay united as parents and continue creating a stable, happy and loving environment\u201d for their three young children. Her message concluded with, \u201cAnd Austin, you\u2019re my best friend and that will never change,\u201d followed by a heart emoji.<\/p>\n Austin, 31, took to Instagram on the same day with his own statement, writing under a throwback photo of the couple posing together, \u201cFor this new year, I\u2019ll be taking a leap of faith. I\u2019ve made the hardest decision of my life. The decision to close the book to my marriage\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n He wrote that he and Catherine \u201cmutually agreed to a divorce\u201d but will continue to coparent their children as a \u201cteam.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe created one of the greatest stories, almost a decade together, so many memories, so many accomplishments but every book comes to an end,\u201d Austin continued his statement, adding that the duo will now \u201cbe writing a new book as separate authors.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that he and Catherine \u201cunderstand that holding on is believing that there\u2019s only a past and letting go is knowing that there\u2019s a future,\u201d and that they are both \u201csupporting each other\u2019s future.\u201d<\/p>\n Austin also seemed to hint that the pair will continue vlogging amid their divorce, writing, \u201cSeparations are difficult and most times messy but you will see how we push through these difficult times as a unit and keep influencing with love and positivity.\u201d He concluded his message with, \u201cWe\u2019re going to need even more of your love and strength during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple began posting videos documenting their life together beginning in 2016, filming everything from the ups and downs of their daily lives to controversial prank and \u201cchallenge\u201d videos. They tied the knot in 2017 after several years of dating.<\/p>\n The ACE Family YouTube channel \u2014 which posted its latest video in June 2023 after the McBrooms claimed 2022 would be their final year on the platform \u2014 currently has more than 18.4 million subscribers.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
