In an interview with Real Simple (via Daily Mail), the actress, 42, revealed she does therapy sessions with her daughter Honor <\/p>\n
She shared that she decided to seek help when ‘Honor was probably 11, and we were arguing all the time about dumb stuff.’<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n
Jessica recalled: ‘I was like, I don\u2019t want to live like this. This is not fun. I didn\u2019t want us to have a wedge between us.’<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
She explained: ‘As her mother, when I say something, she\u2019s going to hear it as an argument or as me trying to control her. I wanted there to be someone who could explain things in a way I couldn\u2019t.’

Said she: ‘What I said to Honor was: “I want to be a better parent to you, and this is your forum to basically talk about everything that gets on your nerves that I do.”‘<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n‘I just wanted to get to that point, and it worked. And the therapist allowed me to see that it\u2019s natural for kids to disagree with their parents, and as a parent it\u2019s not always about being right or rational in that moment,’<\/b><\/i> the home goods mogul spilled. ‘I\u2019m not gonna front, it\u2019s a process and I\u2019m not perfect.’
