Kelly Clarkson<\/strong> joked about all of the chatter surrounding her weight loss during the Wednesday, January 10 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n The talk show host, 41, was interviewing Jon Cryer<\/strong> and asked him what it was like living in New York City after growing up there. \u201cIt\u2019s so different now,\u201d the actor, 58, admitted. \u201cAlthough, interestingly, my wife says that I\u2019m sexier in New York.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly responded, \u201cWell, if you\u2019re dressing like this, sir! Hey, it turns out I\u2019m sexier in New York!\u201d As the audience cheered, Kelly cracked up and began waving her arms around while mouthing, \u201cI\u2019m just kidding!\u201d<\/p>\n She explained, \u201cI was just making a joke because everyone\u2019s talking about [it]. Turns out I was a dog in L.A. I was just kidding. I\u2019m totally kidding!\u201d<\/p>\n The American Idol winner moved to New York<\/a> in 2023 after her talk show relocated to the east coast. The move came following Kelly\u2019s divorce from Brandon Blackstock<\/strong>, which was finalized in March 2022.<\/p>\n Since season 5 of The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em> premiered in September 2023, fans have been buzzing about the singer\u2019s weight loss<\/a>. In an interview with People<\/em>, which was published on January 3, she admitted that moving to the Big Apple helped her shed the pounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWalking in the city is quite the workout,\u201d Kelly, who shares two kids with her ex-husband, explained. \u201cAnd I\u2019m really into infrared saunas right now. And I just got a cold plunge because everybody wore me down.\u201d<\/p>\n While she didn\u2019t specify what goes into her diet, she revealed that she \u201ceats a healthy mix\u201d of foods and admitted that \u201clistening to [her] doctor\u201d has been vital. \u201cA couple years I didn\u2019t,\u201d she shared. \u201cAnd 90 percent of the time I\u2019m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I\u2019m a Texas girl, so I like meat \u2013 sorry, vegetarians in the world!\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly previously used Dr.<\/strong> Stephen Gundry\u2019s<\/strong> book The Plant Paradox to lose weight after she gave birth to her second child in 2016. \u201cIt\u2019s basically about how we cook our food,\u201d she explained in 2018. \u201cNon-GMO, no pesticides, eating really organic.\u201d In a separate interview, she added, \u201cIt\u2019s the same stuff you eat, I just use different ingredients. Even fried chicken \u2013 I use cassava flour, tapioca or almond flour, and you use non-hormone chicken. And honestly, I\u2019m going to be real with you: It\u2019s really expensive to do.\u201d<\/p>\n In November 2023, Kelly opened up about the downside to her weight loss. \u201cI don\u2019t fit into [my clothes]!\u201d she said. \u201cI love losing weight.
