The \u2018Karma Chameleon\u2019 singer, 62, has spent years struggling with his size and has now revealed in his new autobiography \u2018Karma\u2019 he first took Ozempic \u2013 the Type 2 diabetes drug semaglutide that has become hugely popular among Hollywood stars \u2013 before he switched to Mounjaro, the brand name of another antidiabetic medication tirzepatide. <\/p>\n
Opening up about how he took the drug to maintain his weight loss following a tummy tuck surgery in an extract from his book obtained by People, the singer said: \u201cI have struggled with my weight most of my life, and being under public and media scrutiny doesn\u2019t help. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are all guilty of saying, \u2018Hasn\u2019t so-and-so got big,\u2019 even when we are carrying extra pounds ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n
The singer also admitted he loves food and \u201ccan\u2019t control\u201d his appetite, but felt like he \u201cfinally got it under control\u201d with the help of the diabetes drugs. <\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cWell, I\u2019m on Mounjaro. Isn\u2019t everyone? Trust me anyone who was fat last year and is now skinny is on the wonder drug.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThe singer also told in his memoir he had a tummy tuck \u201cnot long after\u201d he had hair transplants from 2015 to 2018 to help complete his transformation. <\/p>\n
\nBut he called the plastic surgery the \u201cmost painful thing\u201d he\u2019s \u201cever done\u201d, adding he went on tour \u201cstraight after\u201d with Cyndi Lauper and his \u201cblood bag attached\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI\u2019d previously lost seven stone doing the metabolic balance diet and I needed to get rid of the excess skin.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nDespite his admissions, he insists in his book he has never had any work done on his face. <\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cI\u2019ve never had Botox, though, and I might be the only person in show business with my own face. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m not frightened of getting old and I think I\u2019ve grown into myself. It might seem weird to say I feel sexier but I actually do. I used to joke over the years, \u2018Sexy at 60.\u2019 That was my ambition.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
