Andy Cohen<\/b><\/a> opens up about <\/span>Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/span><\/i><\/a> stars <\/span>Kyle Richards<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>Mauricio Umansky<\/b><\/a>s surprising split during an exclusive video interview with Life & Style<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really enjoying seeing Kyle\u2019s evolution this season,\u201d Andy, 55, tells Life & Style while discussing his partnership with Walmart+\u2019s \u201cSave Your Resolutions\u201d campaign<\/a>. \u201cI think that we\u2019ve known her for so long and she was one of those people that you never thought would be trouble in her marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n Andy adds that it\u2019s been \u201creally fascinating\u201d to see how Kyle, 54, and Mauricio\u2019s split is playing out.<\/p>\n \u201cI really respect her openness and honesty,\u201d the RHOBH<\/em> executive producer continues. \u201cShe\u2019s always been transparent on the show, but I think what we\u2019re seeing right now is really someone in the middle of a kind of journey of self exploration, and I think that\u2019s really compelling.\u201d<\/p>\n Andy also admits that the split was one of the most \u201csurprising\u201d things to happen during his 20 years with Bravo.<\/p>\n It was revealed that Kyle and Mauricio, 53, were having problems in July 2023<\/a> when news broke that they separated after 27 years of marriage. Shortly after their split made headlines, the reality stars broke their silence in a joint statement shared via social media.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have had a rough year,\u201d the former couple \u2013 who wed in 1996 \u2013 wrote at the time. \u201cThe most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone\u2019s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately.\u201d<\/p>\n While neither Kyle nor Mauricio move forward with getting a divorce, they have both been romantically linked to new potential partners since revealing their separation.<\/p>\n Fans wondered if the Halloween Ends<\/em> actress was dating her close friend Morgan Wade<\/b><\/a>, though the women have <\/span>insisted they\u2019re only friends<\/span><\/a>. After their close friendship made headlines, Kyle and Morgan, 29, poked fun at the speculation when the California native was cast in Morgan\u2019s music video for her song \u201cFall in Love With Me\u201d in August 2023.<\/p>\n However, Kyle continued to spark speculation when she said she was open to \u201cdating a woman\u201d<\/a> in a teaser clip for the remainder of season 13, which is currently airing on Bravo.<\/p>\n
