The iconic game show, Deal or No Deal<\/em>, is getting a tropical makeover.<\/p>\n

NBC announced in 2023 that a new series titled Deal or No Deal Island<\/em> was in the works, and it\u2019s nothing like its original counterpart. Per the show\u2019s description, the audience will be transported to the infamous banker\u2019s private island where more than 100 metal briefcases are scattered. Each case is worth a different amount but the total value of the cases is worth over $200 million.<\/p>\n

13 people will compete in the inaugural season in hopes of being the last one standing to take home the banker\u2019s prize. In each episode, the competitors will face off in a series of challenges to secure the briefcases. After each competition, the briefcases selected in the challenge will be used in the night\u2019s game of Deal or No Deal<\/em>. The player who scores the biggest prize in the challenge will have immunity and select a fellow competitor to enter \u201cThe Temple.\u201d<\/p>\n

The chosen competitor will play Deal or No Deal<\/em>. If they make a bad deal, they\u2019ll be sent home. If fortune rules in their favor, then they get to decide who will be eliminated that night.<\/p>\n

The banker was best known for brokering deals on the original game show. On Deal or No Deal Island<\/em>, the banker will keep an eye on the competitors and raise the stakes with \u201ctests of strategy and greed.\u201d Models Ben Crofchick<\/strong> and Kamari Love<\/strong> will serve as the banker\u2019s assistants on the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe role of Deal or No Dea<\/em>l host has always been held by someone charming, hilarious and devastatingly handsome,\u201d Corie Henson<\/strong>, NBCUniversal Entertainment\u2019s executive vice president of unscripted content said in a statement<\/a> at the time. \u201cWhen we took the show out of the studio and transported the game to the Banker\u2019s island, Joe was the obvious choice. He loves all kinds of games, lives for adventure and isn\u2019t afraid to stare down a snake or two to help players win a life-changing payday and, hopefully, beat the Banker at his own game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who Is Competing in \u2018Deal or No Deal Island\u2019?<\/h3>\n

Amongst its 13 competitors, two familiar faces will be playing the game. Survivor<\/em><\/a> alum Boston Rob Mariano<\/strong> and former Deal or No Deal<\/em> model and Real Housewives<\/em> alum Claudia Jordan<\/strong> are in the running to take home the cash prize.<\/p>\n

The other players include Dawson Addis<\/strong>, Aron Barbell<\/strong>, Jordan Fowler<\/strong>, Nick Grasso<\/strong>, Miranda Harrison<\/strong>, Alyssa Klinzing<\/strong>, Kim Mattina<\/strong>, Amy McCoy<\/strong>, Dr. Stephanie Mitchell<\/strong>, Jamil Sipes<\/strong> and Brantzen Wong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
