Lindsay Lohan<\/strong><\/a> reunited with Tina Fey<\/strong><\/a> at the premiere of the new Mean Girls<\/em> movie on Monday, January 8.<\/p>\n

The OG star \u2014 Lohan, now 37, played Cady Herron in the 2004 hit \u2014 walked the red carpet in New York City while wearing a black cutout dress with a diamond belt. She donned a batching bangle and clutch while her iconic red hair fell into sleek waves.<\/p>\n

The new Mean Girls<\/em><\/a>, which hits theaters Friday, January 13, adapts the Broadway musical that was based on the film. While Fey, 53, returns as a writer and stars as Ms. Norbury, the other characters have been recast. Angourie Rice<\/strong> takes on Lohan\u2019s role as Cady while Rene\u00e9 Rapp<\/strong><\/a> plays Regina George, the villain Rachel McAdams<\/strong><\/a> made famous.<\/p>\n

Since news of the adaptation was announced, the OG cast have been supportive of the new generation. McAdams, 43, told Entertainment Tonight<\/em> <\/a>in March 2023 that she doesn\u2019t think Rapp \u201ccan do any wrong\u201d with the role of queen bee. \u201cShe is amazing,\u201d McAdams gushed.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s already got me beat with that voice. So, I\u2019m just excited to see her incarnation,\u201d McAdams continued. \u201cIt\u2019s such a great character. It\u2019s so much fun to play, so, I hope she has a great time with it. And I can\u2019t wait to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Mean Girls<\/em> features a new cast, Lohan recently reunited with former costars Amanda Seyfried<\/strong> and Lacey Chabert<\/strong> for a Walmart Black Friday ad<\/a> that showed their characters as moms. \u201cOne word to describe the Mean Girls reunion commercial [for Walmart] was joyful,\u201d Chabert, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>\u2018s 25 Things You Don\u2019t Know About Me feature last month.<\/p>\n

The women have all become moms in real life too. But they\u2019re not like regular moms; they\u2019re cool moms. Seyfried, 38, shares daughter Nina, 6, and son Thomas, 3, with husband Thomas Sadoski<\/strong> while Chabert shares 7-year-old Julia with husband David Nehdar<\/strong>. McAdams and longtime love Jamie Linden<\/strong> welcomed a son in 2018 and a daughter in 2020, but their names haven\u2019t been revealed publicly.<\/p>\n
