Travis Kelce\u2019s<\/strong> <\/a>and Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> romance has come a long way since the NFL star put his phone number on a friendship bracelet.<\/p>\n

When Kelce, 34, was asked to name the \u201cmost famous person\u201d in his contacts in a Monday, January 8, TikTok<\/a> for the Kansas City Chiefs, the tight end didn\u2019t try to downplay Swift\u2019s celebrity status. \u201cYou already know the easy [answer],\u201d he said, seemingly referring to the 34-year-old Grammy winner.<\/p>\n

After he was told not to give the \u201ceasy answer,\u201d Kelce named\u00a0Justin Timberlake<\/strong> as the biggest A-lister in his phone before admitting that the former boybander probably wouldn\u2019t pick up if he rang. \u201cNo, not a chance,\u201d Kelce quipped. \u201cAnd I appreciate you Justin, but he\u2019s a busy man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the light-hearted exchange, fans quickly took to the comments section to share their thoughts on Kelce choosing Timberlake, 42, over Swift. Some wanted the athlete to answer the question again \u2014 \u201cREDO THIS WITH THE EASY ANSWER,\u201d one person wrote \u2014 while others were curious exactly how Swift would pop up her boyfriend\u2019s contact list.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTaylor Swift and Travis Kelce are all anyone can talk about. Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. \u201cI was a little butthurt I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe real question is HOW is the easy answer saved in his contacts?!\u201d another fan asked.<\/p>\n

Since first being linked last year, both Kelce and Swift have often been generous in their praise for one another. While speaking to WSJ. Magazine<\/em><\/a> in November 2023, Kelce said it\u2019s often \u201cmind-blowing\u201d to be around someone as talented as Swift, adding that he\u2019s \u201clearning\u201d from her \u201cevery day.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also gushed over Swift\u2019s ability to take living her life so publicly in stride. \u201cObviously I\u2019ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them \u2026 I\u2019ve never dealt with it,\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cBut at the same time, I\u2019m not running away from any of it. \u2026 The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she\u2019s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that, I better not be the one acting all strange.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later that month, Kelce touched down in Argentina to attend one of Swift\u2019s Eras Tour <\/em>concerts. \u201cI was blown away,\u201d Kelce said of Swift\u2019s performance during an episode of his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast later that month. \u201cTaylor absolutely ripped it. She killed it. It looked like she was having some fun up there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift, meanwhile, has shown her support for Kelce in spades. The singer has cheered her boyfriend on at multiple Chiefs games<\/a> \u2014 both home and away \u2014 during their 2023-2024 season, causing some fans to push back on the NFL\u2019s heavy coverage of her attendance. Swift, however, isn\u2019t concerned with anything but showing up for Kelce.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019m being shown 17 times or once,\u201d Swift said during her December 2023 TIME<\/em><\/a> cover story. \u201cI\u2019m just there to support Travis<\/a>.\u00a0I have no awareness of if I\u2019m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cWhen you say a relationship is public<\/a>, that means I\u2019m going to see him do what he loves, we\u2019re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don\u2019t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you\u2019re seeing someone. And we\u2019re just proud of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the couple\u2019s romance is certainly in the spotlight, Kelce understands why people are such fans of Swift \u2014 and is taking it all one day at a time.<\/p>\n
