Former Bachelor\u00a0Ben Higgins<\/strong><\/a> couldn\u2019t resist saying what was on his mind after witnessing Brayden Bowers<\/strong> and Christina Mandrell<\/strong>\u2019s engagement during The Golden Wedding<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happened so fast! It happened so fast!\u201d Ben, 34, yelled as Brayden, 25, put an engagement ring on Christina\u2019s finger.<\/p>\n

Ben\u2019s reaction was featured in Raven Gates<\/strong>\u2019 Friday, January 5, YouTube vlog<\/a>, which gave a behind-the-scenes look at Golden Bachelor<\/em><\/a> stars Gerry Turner<\/strong> and Theresa Nist<\/strong>\u2019s nuptials on Thursday, January 4.<\/p>\n

Ben\u2019s comment likely referenced the whirlwind nature of Christina, 28, and Brayden\u2019s romance.<\/p>\n

The couple completed their goal of finding a second chance at love by tying the knot on ABC\u2019s The Golden Wedding special in January 2024. The pair\u2019s relationship was revealed<\/a> during the Bachelor in Paradise<\/em> season 9 finale last month. Brayden, who made his debut during Charity Lawson<\/strong>\u2019s Bachelorette <\/em>season last summer, left BiP<\/em> as a single man, but a message during the season 9 finale read: \u201cNow, Brayden is dating Christina from Zach <\/strong>[Shallcross<\/strong>]\u2019s season. Brayden is teaching Christina\u2019s daughter how to accessorize.\u201d (Mandrell shares daughter Blakely, 7, with ex-husband Blake Dennis <\/strong>and was on season 27 of The Bachelor<\/em>, which aired in early 2023.<\/p>\n

During the televised proposal<\/a>, Brayden told Christina that he \u201cjust knew there was something special\u201d about her.<\/p>\n

Bachelor Nation host Jesse Palmer <\/strong>later revealed that Brayden got permission from Gerry, 72, to pop the question on his and Theresa\u2019s special day.\u00a0Variety<\/em><\/a>, however, reported that the engagement came as a surprise to the majority of attendees, including some producers.<\/p>\n

Christina previously gushed about her and Brayden\u2019s \u201ctruly special bond\u201d after their relationship went public.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrateful for the ease of being exactly who we are with one another,\u201d she wrote via Instagram in December 2023. \u201cThere\u2019s something incredibly special about finding a love that feels like home.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to capturing Higgins\u2019 response to Brayden and Christina\u2019s engagement, Raven also gushed about Gerry and Theresa, 70, in her vlog.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re very lovely, like, exactly what you see on TV is what you get,\u201d said Raven, 32, who met husband Adam Gottschalk<\/strong> on season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise<\/em> in 2017. \u201cAnd I feel like that\u2019s the beauty of The Golden Bachelor<\/em> \u2014 these people are not trying to get on here to get Instagram followers or anything like that.
