They wouldn\u2019t kill Pippin because Pippin has a really strong story with Gandalf. It would have definitely been me.\u201d<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>However, Jackson decided to stay true to Tolkien&#8217;s text,\u00a0with all the hobbits surviving until the end of the story.\u00a0\u201cI think Pete quite rightly was like, \u2018This is a luminary piece of written work, and we need to stick close to the text.\u2019 So, he stuck by his guns.
