Michael Bolton is here with an important update on both his personal life and his professional life.<\/p>\n
In a detailed note to fans on January 5, the veteran artist explained that he was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and, as a result, will be taking a break touring and\/or singing in public.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success,\u201d the 70-year old wrote on Facebook. <\/p>\n

The Grammy Award-winner also told followers he will be \u201cdevoting\u201d the \u201cnext couple of months\u201d to his recovery, acknowledging his dismay in the process.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon,\u201d continued Bolton, who thanked his fans for their \u201clove and support\u201d through the many years.<\/p>\n
He concluded:<\/p>\n
\u201cKnow that I\u2019m keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I\u2019ll give you more updates as soon as I can. \u201cWe were basically observing our friends and family and seeing that they all really needed some light, that it was so dark and oppressive and basically we were all just carrying layers of fear to our every day,\u201d the legend said of finding inspiration through the COVID pandemic. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m filled with more love and pride in my girls as they raise their own families,\u201d he added last year. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe people I love bring me a lot of happiness\u2026 The important things never really change. Love is the most important thing, the center of the universe. There\u2019s nothing greater.\u201d<\/p>\n
Yes, he was \u201ctoo serious\u201d early in his career, Bolton acknowledged at the time, adding:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fun starts happening when you let go of things\u2026 I don\u2019t feel like I\u2019m near slowing down yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
