After a\u00a0twist-filled second season of\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(and shocking answers to the question of\u00a0who dies<\/a>) yet another edition of\u00a0Mike White<\/strong>\u2019s anthology series<\/a> is on the itinerary. Just three episodes into the latest season, HBO confirmed that\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u201cwill return for a third installment following a new group of guests at another White Lotus property.\u201d\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/em>\u00a0has already made its pitches for\u00a0season three settings<\/a>, but what do we actually\u00a0know<\/em>\u00a0about the upcoming chapter? What will the credits sound like<\/a>? And will the guests venture beyond the resort\u00a0to eat<\/a>?\u00a0<\/p>\n Ahead, a preview of everything that\u2019s out in the universe about\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em>\u00a0season three, including a major update about who is jetting in next<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n HBO confirmed in early January<\/a> that Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Tayme Thapthimthong,<\/strong> and Parker Posey<\/strong> will be checking into the White Lotus for season three. They join previously announced returning original cast member Natasha Rothwell<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> who earned an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Belinda, the soothing, often sidelined spa manager of the resort\u2019s Hawaii outpost.\u00a0<\/p>\n Rothwell\u2019s return for the wellness-centered third season suggests that Jennifer Coolidge<\/strong>\u2019s Tanya<\/a> may<\/em> have made good on her promise to fund Belinda\u2019s dream spa by leaving her money in the will. But\u2014for now\u2014the actor is keeping mum on her character\u2019s storyline. At the Wonka<\/em> premiere, Rothwell told Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> that the show made her \u201cgasp out loud a minimum of five times, and this was just me reading the scripts.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n According to Deadline<\/a>, casting for the new season got underway on Nov. 9, the same day a deal was reached<\/a> between SAG-AFTRA and the studios. The outlet reports that thirteen roles are looking to be filled, with nine of them being series regulars. Parts range in age between 18 and 80s, featuring a patriarch, corporate executive, actress, a couple of mothers, a misfit, and a yogi.<\/p>\n One person who seemingly won\u2019t be involved, despite online rumors, is White\u2019s friend and School of Rock<\/em> collaborator Jack Black<\/strong>, who denied his casting to Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a>:<\/em> \u201cI\u2019ll deny because that\u2019s easy to tell the truth,\u201d he said. \u201cI have to throw ice water on that sweet, sweet theory.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n The show\u2019s second season introduced viewers to a murderers\u2019 row of new characters, played by\u00a0Aubrey Plaza<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0\u200b\u200b<\/strong>Theo James<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Meghann Fahy<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Michael Imperioli<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Will Sharpe<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Beatrice Grann\u00f2<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Haley Lu Richardson<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Adam DiMarco<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> and many, many\u00a0concerning men<\/a>. But\u00a0Coolidge, returning from the Emmy-winning first season, had another standout showing\u2014the question of whether she could she reprise the role of Tanya again, however, was answered in the season 2 finale<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n A familiar face who may pack her bags for season three,\u00a0however, is Connie Britton,<\/strong> who played the high-powered Nicole in season one, said she was originally supposed to return for the second season. \u201cHe wanted me to be in the second season, and there was an idea that I loved for the character,\u201d she told\u00a0Deadline<\/a>. \u201cOur intention is to do it in the third season. A piece of casting didn\u2019t work in the second season and we\u2019re hoping to [do] that in the third season. I would love to see a spin-off on every character in that show.\u201d And wouldn\u2019t you know it? Her character fits squarely in the \u201ccorporate executive\u201d category\u2026<\/p>\n White hinted that the show would head east for season three, telling Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a>, \u201cWe are going to scout in Asia and look at countries there.\u201d Now Variety<\/em><\/a> is reporting that after scouting locations, he\u2019s settled on Thailand.\u00a0<\/p>\n If he chooses to film at another Four Seasons\u2014seasons one and two were both filmed at resorts owned by the luxury hotel chain\u2014he\u2019ll have several properties to choose from. The website for the Chiang Mai location describes it as \u201ca haven of well-being in northern Thailand\u201d that\u2019s \u201cnestled among emerald rice fields,\u201d while the Four Seasons Golden Triangle is an \u201cadventure of a lifetime\u201d where guests stay in luxury tents.
