The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a> star <\/span>Theresa Nist<\/b><\/a> gushed about her daughter, <\/span>Jen Woolston<\/b>, playing a big role in the wedding planning process ahead of her nuptials with <\/span>Gerry Turner<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s a lifesaver,\u201d Theresa, 70, told People<\/em><\/a> about Jen in an article published on Tuesday, January 2. \u201cThere\u2019s so many decisions that had to be made, and in some instances, she would get the vision board together for me or she would get ideas of dresses and veils and rings.\u201d<\/p>\n Theresa explained that Jen \u2013 who will also serve as her maid of honor \u2013 has taken care of most of the logistics, adding that there are \u201cvery few decisions left to be made\u201d before she walks down the aisle during the televised ceremony on Thursday, January 4.<\/p>\n \u201cShe just keeps feeding me great things and I\u2019m saying, \u2018Yeah, that, that, that,\u2019\u201d the financial services professional explained. \u201cSeriously \u2013 I don\u2019t know if there would be a wedding if she wasn\u2019t involved.\u201d<\/p>\n Gerry, 72, then shared that his two daughters, Jenny Young<\/strong> and Angie Warner<\/strong><\/a>, his two granddaughters, Theresa\u2019s son, Tommy<\/strong>, and her six grandchildren will also be included in the ceremony.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re all involved,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s a spot for every family member in the wedding party \u2026 We wouldn\u2019t have it any other way.\u201d<\/p>\n Not only will the ceremony be a special day for Gerry and Theresa, who got engaged during The Golden Bachelor<\/em> finale<\/a> in November 2023, but the wedding is also taking place on Jen\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the biggest gift for her,\u201d Theresa said about how her daughter feels that the wedding coincides with her birthday. \u201cShe fell in love with Gerry.\u201d<\/p>\n The mother of two showed her appreciation for her daughter\u2019s help after Jen teased the upcoming wedding<\/a> while exclusively speaking to Life & Style<\/em> in December 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, I work in weddings. I love weddings. And then this is like the ultimate wedding you know that Mindy Weiss<\/strong> is planning and everything,\u201d Jen said at the time. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of decisions to make pretty much every day. And you know, I can\u2019t even imagine what it\u2019s going to feel like to actually be there and see it all come to life. Even though we\u2019re in the loop, I think it\u2019s going to feel sort of like a big surprise, really.\u201d<\/p>\n She revealed that she was working hard on her maid-of-honor speech, while Theresa was writing her own vows. Jen added that they were in the process of making last minute decisions, which included \u201cpicking songs for the ceremony\u201d and getting garments altered.<\/p>\n
