Ariana Grande<\/a> and <\/span>Cynthia Erivo<\/a> made their friendship permanent with some matching<\/span> <\/span>Wicked<\/a><\/em> tattoos!<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>co-stars and friends got some particularly appropriate ink<\/a> on their hands, which commemorated the bond they forged while filming <\/span>their upcoming big screen adaption of Wicked.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n Grande — who stars as Galinda\/Glinda, the Good Witch — took to her Instagram story earlier this week to share a few glimpses at their matching tattoos.<\/span><\/p>\n Both she and Erivo — who stars as\u00a0Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West — got the words “For Good” written in a sort of vintage typewriter font on the palms of their hands.<\/span><\/p>\n This, of course, is a tribute to Glinda and Elphaba’s famous duet, “For Good,” which comes toward the end of the production and is one of the most beloved songs from the musical.<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Erivo took to her Instagram story as well, sharing a photo of another matching tattoo the pair apparently got, which depicts a poppy flower along the side of their hands.<\/span><\/p>\n In the original <\/span>Wizard of Oz<\/span><\/em>, poppies play a significant role when the Wicked Witch uses magic to conjure a poppy field, causing Dorothy and her dog Toto to fall asleep into a magic, fatal slumber until rescued by their intrepid companions.<\/span><\/p>\n Back in December, <\/span>Erivo chatted with ET’s Deidre Behar at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C.,<\/a> and the actress reflected on the special significance of the song “For Good,” particularly for her and Grande.<\/span><\/p>\n “I want to say ‘For Good’ is one of the most… like it’s really special to us,” Erivo told ET. “It just — it was a really special day. We filmed it over a week [and] we felt like it was a lot for the both of us, in our hearts, you know?”<\/span><\/p>\n She also showered Grande with particular praise, sharing, “I mean, she’s wonderful. It’s been really wonderful working together.”<\/span><\/p>\n “We seem to have found this wonderfully easy rhythm together,” Erivo said. “She calls it worming when we sing together because our voices sound the same even though we’re totally different. When we are able to sing together, it really works. We just sort of find each other, so it’s been lovely to work with her. It’s like finding a family member you didn’t know you had.”<\/span><\/p>\n The actress added that Grande is just as excited as she is for fans to see their work. “She’s so excited for this. She’s so excited to go on this run with me. To celebrate together is gonna be really special.”<\/span><\/p>\n
