\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Jenny McCarthy<\/strong><\/a> has been a New Year\u2019s Eve staple for years, but if you\u2019re tuning in tonight for the Dick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve 2024<\/em><\/strong>, special, you\u2019re not going to be seeing the longtime co-host on the show. <\/p>\n The 51-year-old television personality started co-hosting the special with Ryan Seacrest<\/strong><\/a> back in 2010 and she has appeared in Times Square every year for nearly a decade.<\/p>\n Jenny<\/strong> finally decided to end her co-hosting duties in 2020.<\/p>\n Head inside to find out why\u2026<\/em><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n She explained the decision back in October 2020, just one week after informing Ryan<\/strong> of her plans to leave the special. She said on Live! with Kelly and Ryan<\/em>, \u201cWe\u2019re shooting Masked Singer 3<\/em> in December and January and my son, who is now 17, said, \u2018Can we please stay home this year?\u2019 He\u2019s going to be 18, he\u2019s going to want nothing to do with me.\u201d<\/p>\n Jenny<\/strong> continued, \u201cBut I got to say, it was the most wonderful time. Working with Ryan<\/strong>, it\u2019s a dream. And we can\u2019t say that about a lot of people in this business. He\u2019s a dream. So I thank you.
