The supermodel, 53, who has an estimated net worth of at least $70 million, posted a carousel of images that also showed her at home surrounded by glittering lights, a fully laid-out banquet table and lavish decorations including a huge dolls house featuring what appeared to be a manger scene in its garden. <\/p>\n
She captioned the set of images, which opened with a snap of her perched on the side of her fireplace drinking: Merry Christmas (heart emoji.)\u201d<\/p>\n
Claudia\u2019s year was topped off by her getting her own Barbie doll \u2013 for the third time. <\/p>\n
The German model was the inspiration for manufacturer Mattel\u2019s latest version of the toy and shows it dressed in the iconic turquoise gown she wore on the catwalk of the 1994 Fall\/Winter Atelier Versace show. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cMy earliest memories are playing with Barbie and wishing I could be just like her. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHalf a century later, Mattel has made my wish come true by designing a doll in my likeness. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI hope my doll can inspire all fans to dream big and follow their passions.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nClaudia has been photographed for the cover of Vogue 16 times and has modelled for the world\u2019s biggest fashion houses since the \u201990s. <\/p>\n
\nIn 2017, Mattel made a doll to mark 30 years of the model\u2019s career and the launch of her autobiography \u2013 and created another doll in 2020 to celebrate her 50th birthday. <\/p>\n
\nDespite being turned into a toy originally famed for its image of human perfection, Claudia says she feels like a down-to-Earth Briton as loves Marmite, junk food and sarcasm. <\/p>\n
\nShe added in a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph friends from her homeland now fail to get her English sense of humour. <\/p>\n
\nClaudia \u2013 who lives in the UK with her Londoner filmmaker husband Matthew Vaughn, 52, and their children Caspar, 20, Clementine, 19, and 13-year-old Cosima \u2013 said: \u201cI love English chocolate, Marmite and crisps. I\u2019ve even picked up an English sense of humour, which has got me into trouble with my German friends who don\u2019t understand British sarcasm.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nClaudia, who has homes on the Northamptonshire-Oxfordshire border and a 14-bedroom Tudor manor house on 530 acres in Suffolk, also said her favourite chocolates are Cadbury\u2019s Buttons. <\/p>\n
\nBut she said she still tries to avoid wheat and is fortunate to be working in her 50s. <\/p>\n
\nClaudia added: \u201cI\u2019m lucky enough to be working in an era that sees no \u2018ageing out\u2019. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cBefore the \u201990s, a model\u2019s career would rarely last past her 30s and there was a constant turnover of faces. With the supermodels, careers started to last longer as we became powerful brands in our own right. Models now are working well into their 40s, 50s and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
