The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i><\/a> star<\/span> Theresa Nist<\/b><\/a> admitted she cried when her fianc\u00e9, <\/span>Gerry Turner<\/b><\/a>, sent <\/span>Leslie Fhima<\/b><\/a> home on the reality show.<\/p>\n While appearing on the Tuesday, December 26, episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, Theresa, 70, revealed she was in the process of watching the season for the first time and said it was difficult to see Gerry, 72, send Faith Martin home.<\/p>\n \u201cI really haven\u2019t seen the final episode yet, so I\u2019ve yet to see Leslie and that was a really difficult moment for me,\u201d Theresa said, referring to the season\u2019s runner up. \u201cI cried my eyes out that night.\u201d<\/p>\n While Leslie, \u200b65, didn\u2019t get Gerry\u2019s final rose, she previously said she was surprised that Theresa made it to the final two<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI was shocked [when Faith got eliminated],\u201d the TV personality admitted on the \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d<\/a> podcast on December 5. \u201cAnd I wish I could have [held] her and cried with her a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n During the show, Gerry told all three of the final contestants that he loved them. After noting she knew he told Faith, 60, that he loved her, Leslie said she didn\u2019t know he had told Theresa the same.<\/p>\n Not only did Leslie weigh in on Gerry\u2019s other relationships, but she opened up about feeling blindsided by the leading man following their fantasy suite date. \u201cWe made plans with me for [the] future<\/a>,\u201d she revealed about their conversation, which wasn\u2019t filmed. \u201cHe said kind of, like, \u2018Save the date, this is what we\u2019re going to do. I can\u2019t wait for us. [In] two more days, we\u2019ll be done with this [and] be together, start our life.\u2019 Did he say, \u2018Will you marry me?\u2019 in there? No. But he all but said that. I would\u2019ve been happy with just, \u2018I love you,\u2019 but he took it to a different level.\u201d<\/p>\n Leslie explained she felt confident that they would get engaged following his comments. \u201cHe didn\u2019t want to leave [the next morning],\u201d she said during the podcast appearance. \u201cThat\u2019s why I wasn\u2019t worried that he was going on a date [with Theresa]. I just knew that he had to get through the motions of it. And I mean, I was 100 percent sure that I was it. He didn\u2019t say, \u2018I have such a hard decision to make.\u2019 Nothing like that.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite things not working out between Gerry and Leslie, the retired restaurateur is currently in the process of planning his wedding to Theresa. The pair aren\u2019t wasting any time and will wed during a televised ceremony<\/a> on January 4, 2024.<\/p>\n
