It\u2019s a highly capable device, one that\u2019s faster than the prior model<\/a> from 2021\u00a0and offers better sound courtesy of a redesigned speaker system with spatial audio support. What\u2019s particularly helpful about the new Show, however, is that it supports up to four widgets and functions as a Matter controller, a Zigbee hub, and a\u00a0Thread border router<\/a>, letting you use it to control a wide swath of smart home devices with ease.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n If you\u2019re not in the market for a full-on smart display, fret not because Amazon is also currently discounting the\u00a0fourth-gen Echo <\/strong>to its lowest price to date. Right now, Prime members can buy the smart speaker at\u00a0Amazon\u00a0for $49.99<\/a> (half off); it\u2019s also\u00a0on sale at Best Buy<\/a>\u00a0and Target<\/a> for a mere $10 more if you don\u2019t have an Amazon Prime membership.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Despite having launched in 2020, the latest Echo is still a great speaker that sounds better than the newer,\u00a0fifth-gen Echo Dot<\/a>. While it\u2019s not a fully-fledged smart home hub like the Echo Show 8, you can still use it to control a wealth of compatible smart home gadgets, including lights, smart plugs, TVs, and other devices. It can also act as\u00a0a range extender if you\u2019re on an Eero mesh Wi-Fi network<\/a>\u00a0while allowing you to set alarms, get news reports, and carry out a host of other tasks using just your voice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n If you want to dip your toes into the world of mechanical keyboards, the\u00a0OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro<\/strong>\u00a0is currently\u00a0on sale via OnePlus<\/a>\u00a0in the Winter Bonfire configuration with double-shot PBT keycaps and tactile switches for $179 ($40 off).
