{"id":64969,"date":"2023-12-28T23:01:28","date_gmt":"2023-12-28T23:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/28\/kevin-hart-suing-youtuber-latasha-kebe-over-interview-ransom-threat\/"},"modified":"2023-12-28T23:01:28","modified_gmt":"2023-12-28T23:01:28","slug":"kevin-hart-suing-youtuber-latasha-kebe-over-interview-ransom-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/28\/kevin-hart-suing-youtuber-latasha-kebe-over-interview-ransom-threat\/","title":{"rendered":"Kevin Hart suing YouTuber LaTasha Kebe over interview &apos;ransom&apos; threat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2023-12-28\" datetime=\"1703804488\" pubdate=\"\">28 December 2023<\/time>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/kevin-hart\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,kevin-hart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kevin Hart<\/a> is suing YouTuber LaTasha Kebe. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">Kevin Hart is suing YouTuber LaTasha Kebe<\/p>\n<p>The comic, 44, has taken a case of extortion against the influencer, known as Tasha K, after she allegedly threatened to release a bombshell interview with his former assistant unless he paid her a six-figure \u201cransom\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>According to a lawsuit obtained by Page Six, LaTasha sat down with Kevin\u2019s former assistant Miesha Shakes in November to record a chat in which the latter made \u201cfalse and defamatory statements regarding Hart\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Kevin claims that after the interview an alleged associate of LaTasha\u2019s called his team and threatened to \u201cpublish the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>At the time, they allegedly warned Kevin the stories told during the sit-down, which were linked his marriage and business dealings, would be \u201cdamaging\u201d to his reputation. <\/p>\n<p>\nLaTasha is then said to have posted a \u201cteaser\u201d for the interview in which she and Miesha allegedly \u201ctouted the supposedly salacious and damaging nature\u201d of the interview as a \u201cthreat to Hart\u201d for not paying the \u201cransom\u201d allegedly demanded. <\/p>\n<p>\nThe lawsuit said: \u201cThe teaser included a statement from Kebe at the 2:06 mark of the video specifically warning that, \u2018When you don\u2019t pay, we have to get money by any means necessary.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\nAt that point, Kevin\u2019s team allegedly contacted police and sent LaTasha a cease and desist letter, noting that Miesha had previously signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement as well as a Confidentiality Agreement while working for Kevin from 2017 until 2020. <\/p>\n<p>\nBut on 22 December 22, LaTasha allegedly told Kevin she would be posting the full interview, which went live that evening on her subscription-based website. <\/p>\n<p>\nKevin is now suing both women for extortion and invasion of privacy and suing Miesha for breach of contract and defamation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/celebrity\/kevin-hart-suing-youtuber-latasha-kebe-interview-ransom-threat-1390445.html?f=rss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>28 December 2023 Kevin Hart is suing YouTuber LaTasha Kebe.
