Leslie Fhima<\/strong><\/a> said she\u2019s been getting love from men under 40 in her DMs since her appearance on season 1 of The Golden Bachelor<\/em><\/a>. However, after having her heart broken by Gerry Turner<\/strong><\/a> during the show\u2019s finale, she\u2019s not quite ready to get back to dating just yet.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a 37-year-old son, so I don\u2019t go there [with men under 40],\u201d Leslie, 64, told KARE<\/em> 11. \u201cI just am not in the place right now that I really want to date. Maybe when I get there, I might reach out to a few of them.\u201d<\/p>\n The personal trainer added that she \u201cwants to just give it some time\u201d after her breakup with Gerry, 72. \u201c[Plus], January and February and March are not the best times in Minneapolis to be meeting people!\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n Gerry and Leslie went to the fantasy suite<\/a> together on The Golden<\/em> Bachelor<\/em>, but he broke up with her ahead of the final rose ceremony. The former restaurateur wound up getting engaged to Theresa Nist<\/strong> and they will tie the knot on January 4, 2024, in a televised wedding.<\/p>\n Leslie, who has two children, was completely blindsided<\/a> when Gerry dumped her. She admittedly thought that she would be his final pick after their conversation<\/a> behind closed doors in the fantasy suite.<\/p>\n \u201cHe made plans with me for [the] future,\u201d she said on the \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast on December 4. \u201cHe said kind of, like, \u2018Save the date, this is what we\u2019re going to do. I can\u2019t wait for us. [In] two more days, we\u2019ll be done with this [and] be together, start our life.\u2019 Did he say, \u2018Will you marry me?\u2019 in there? No. But he all but said that. I would\u2019ve been happy with just, \u2018I love you,\u2019 but he took it to a different level.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite being frustrated with Gerry at the end of the show and when they came face to face at the live reunion on November 30, Leslie still had positive things to say about her experience. \u201cGerry was great,\u201d she revealed. \u201cEveryone was like, \u2018Did you really fall in love?\u2019 And I did. I actually fell for him.\u201d<\/p>\n She also said that she \u201cloves\u201d the other women from the show. \u201cWe are all really good friends,\u201d Leslie gushed. \u201cWe have a special bond that nobody else would understand and I\u2019m in communication with them daily. I love that part, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
