Simone Biles<\/strong><\/a> is standing by her husband, Jonathan Owens<\/strong><\/a>, after he received backlash for a comment that he made about their relationship on \u201cThe Pivot\u201d podcast on December 20.<\/p>\n \u201cAre y\u2019all done yet?\u201d Simone, 26, wrote on X<\/a> (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, December 23, along with a photo of a child looking confused. While she didn\u2019t address the controversy directly, her post came following days of online chatter about what Jonathan, 28, said during the interview.<\/p>\n When asked how he was able to \u201cpull Simone Biles,\u201d the NFL star said that Simone was the one to \u201cpull\u201d him. \u201cWhen she won the Olympics, I was in college and we didn\u2019t have NBC,\u201d he claimed. \u201cWe didn\u2019t have Olympics channels, and we were in [training] camp in late July, early August. So I\u2019m not paying attention. I never would\u2019ve had a moment where I would\u2019ve watched [her].\u201d<\/p>\n One of the podcast hosts then asked the Green Bay Packers safety if he considered himself the \u201ccatch\u201d in the relationship. \u201cI always say that the men are the catch,\u201d he responded. The two first met after matching on a dating app. She messaged him first.<\/p>\n Jonathan was slammed for claiming to not know who the most decorated gymnast of all-time was. He was also mocked for claiming to be more of a \u201ccatch\u201d than the Olympian.<\/a><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Jonathan also responded to the online buzz by posting photos with Simone from their wedding on Instagram on December 21. \u201cUnbothered,\u201d he captioned the post. \u201cJust know we locked in over here.\u201d<\/p>\n Simone showed her support by commenting, \u201cFor life,\u201d along with a kissing emoji and crossed fingers emoji. She also posted a goofy wedding photo on her own page and wrote, \u201cMood,\u201d as the caption.<\/p>\n Jonathan also reposted someone else\u2019s message of support on his Instagram story. \u201cBuddy spent the majority of his interview talking about how instrumental [Simone] was in his success \u2026 and how she spoke life into him \u2026 how individual, joint and premarital therapy helped them both \u2026 how rough it was watching her not feel herself at the last Olympics,\u201d the post read. \u201cHe\u2019s never caused an issue on social media. ZERO clout chasing. And all y\u2019all heard was \u2018catch.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Simone and Jonathan met on Raya in 2020 and he popped the question less than two years later in February 2022. The lovebirds got married<\/a> in a courthouse in April, followed by a second wedding in Mexico in May.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
