Jay-Z<\/strong><\/a> ended 2023 by celebrating some of his favorite artists \u2013 including his better half, Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, December 21, Tidal unveiled a playlist titled \u201cCouple Songs of \u201923: JAY-Z,\u201d sharing what the 54-year-old rapper thought were some of the year\u2019s best songs. Beyonce\u2019s \u201cMy House<\/a>,\u201d the song she debuted with her Renaissance concert film<\/em>, was on the playlist, as were Andr\u00e9 3000<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cNinety-Three \u2018Til Infinity And Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>,\u201d Kendrick Lamar<\/strong> and Baby Keem<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cThe Hillbillies,\u201d Tyla<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cWayer\u201d and Latto<\/strong>\u2019s collab with Cardi B<\/strong>, \u201cPut It on Da Floor Again.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Jay-Z didn\u2019t pick sides in the longstanding rivalry between Cardi and Nicki Mina<\/strong>j: the \u201cEmpire State of Mind\u201d rapper included Nicki\u2019s \u201cEverybody,\u201d her song featuring the soon-to-be-retired<\/a> Lil Uzi Vert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jay-Z is also a huge fan of Drake, putting four songs by the Canadian rapper on this year-end playlist: \u201c8am in Charlotte,\u201d \u201cFirst Person Shooter\u201d (Drake\u2019s collab with J. Cole), \u201cIDGAF\u201d (featuring Yeat) and \u201cRed Button.\u201d The last song is the one where Drake called out Kanye \u201cYe\u201dWest, rapping how \u201cevery time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated,\u201d and saying that this attempt at making peace<\/a> was just a \u201cpremeditated\u201d move.<\/p>\n

The 10-figure club is mostly populated by entrepreneurs and business magnates \u2014 people including Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. Celebrities who breathe that rarefied air have usually diversified their portfolios to include all kinds of partnerships, investments and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Including \u201cRed Button\u201d on the playlist may lead to another bump in Jay-Z\u2019s relationship with the problematic West, 46. In 2017, Jay-Z described the relationship as \u201ccomplicated<\/a>.\u201d In 2021, the Watch the Throne collaborators appeared to reconcile when Jay-Z appeared on \u201cJail,\u201d a song from West\u2019s Donda<\/em> album.\n<\/p>\n
