Kelly Clarkson<\/strong><\/a> sang it best: \u201cDon\u2019t need somebody when I got me.\u201d While fans have been hoping for the American Idol<\/em> alum to get back out there and date after her divorce from Brandon Blackstock<\/strong><\/a>, she said she has some work to do on herself first.<\/p>\n Kelly, 41, connected with Shannen Doherty<\/strong> over finding love after a divorce on her talk show on Wednesday, December 20. While Shannen, 52 \u2014 who filed for divorce<\/a> from husband Kurt Iswarienko<\/strong> in April \u2014 said she felt ready to get back out there, the \u201cStronger\u201d hitmaker said she was \u201cenjoying me\u201d too much to date again.<\/p>\n \u201cI like dog love for the moment,\u201d she joked, explaining that she would rather cuddle with her dogs in bed right now than with a man.<\/p>\n Getting more serious, Kelly added, \u201cI think, too, there\u2019s a lot to learn about yourself in a relationship and how you are in a relationship. I think I need a little more work on that end of it. \u2026 I think I need a little bit more work on me in a relationship and how to make sure I take care of myself at the same time as somebody else.\u201d<\/p>\n The pop star concluded, \u201cIt\u2019s not so much that I\u2019m like, \u2018ugh, men,\u2019 it\u2019s just like, maybe a little work on me. And also, I love me and I love spending time with me! It\u2019s really great. It feels powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n
