Sydney Sweeney<\/a>\u00a0is opening up about <\/span>Angus Cloud<\/a>‘s <\/span>death<\/a>. In an interview with\u00a0<\/span>Glamour UK<\/em><\/a>, the 26-year-old actress reveals why her\u00a0<\/span>Euphoria<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>co-star’s <\/span>July death<\/a> doesn’t feel real — and when she thinks the tragedy will finally sink in.<\/span><\/p>\n “[My costars and I] were constantly on the phone with each other crying, because it was just such a shock,” Sweeney says of Clouds <\/span>death by accidental overdose<\/a>, at age 25. “I don’t think it’ll truly feel real or hit me until we\u2019re filming and I won’t see Angus on set.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As hard as that will be, Sweeney notes, “When we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other and we’re there for each other, just in a different way than we’re able to when we’re all in very separate places in the world.”<\/span><\/p>\n “It’s really interesting when someone passes away in our industry,” she added, “because they’re still alive in so many forms.”<\/span><\/p>\n Sweeney <\/span>previously paid tribute<\/a> to Cloud on Instagram,\u00a0writing, “Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter.”<\/span><\/p>\n “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to post, and I’m struggling to find all the words,” she added. “You will be missed more than you know, but I’m so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I’m sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same. This heartache is real and I wish we could’ve had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you.”<\/span><\/p>\n Euphoria\u00a0<\/span><\/em>will commence production on season 3 in 2024, but the new episodes <\/span>won’t premiere on HBO<\/a> until 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n Until then, Sweeney is busy promoting her new rom-com,\u00a0<\/span>Anyone But You<\/span><\/em>, which she stars in and produced alongside her real-life beau, Jonathan Davino.<\/span><\/p>\n “Jonathan is my producing partner, so he helped put the whole thing together. It’s really great to work with someone who knows you so well, who fully supports your ideas, your vision and your voice,” she tells <\/span>Glamour UK<\/span><\/em>. “And it’s nice. I mean, who doesn\u2019t want to be with their best friend all the time?”<\/span><\/p>\n
