Tragic news today out of Hollywood:<\/p>\n
Kyle Jacobs \u2014 the husband of former American Idol standout Kellie Picker \u2014 was found dead after an apparent suicide at the couple\u2019s Tennessee home on February 17, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department have confirmed in a statement. <\/p>\n

(Photo by Rick Diamond\/Getty Images for CMT)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAccording to the official report, officers were called to Pickler\u2019s residence around 1:21 p.m. after she woke up and couldn\u2019t find her spouse.<\/p>\n
Pickler and her personal assistant were then unable to open the door to a bedroom\/office upstairs, at which time they dialed 911.<\/p>\n
Police and the Nashville Fire Department arrived at the location and found the songwriter \u201cdeceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,\u201d they said in the statement, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cPlatinum?! SWEEEET!!! An amazing crew of incredibly talented peeps put this one together\u201d wrote Jacobs as a caption in this post, as you can see below.<\/p>\n
Throughout his career, Jacobs won a CMA Award, an ACM Award and was nominated for a Grammy Award.<\/p>\n
He and Pickler started dating in 2008, got engaged in June 2010 and then got married on New Year\u2019s Day 2011.<\/p>\n\u201cIt was the most spiritual moment.\u201d Pickler, a former finalist on American Idol, previously said of the proposal. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe would\u2019ve gotten married that night had there been a preacher walking by!\u201d<\/p>\n
Days after getting exchanging vows, Pickler tweeted: <\/p>\n
\u201cPrivate Island. Caribbean. Cigar in one hand, Rum in the other. The program chronicles Pickler and Jacobs\u2019 marriage as they juggled personal life and their professional lives. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe just do everything we can just to be real,\u201d Jacobs told Yahoo\u2019s BUILD series in 2017. \u201cWe love laughing through life. We love to do that, and that\u2019s what the show is. Our show is love and laughter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jacobs \u2014 who penned songs for Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw \u2014 added at the time: <\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s always stresses in life\u2026and I think if you [and] especially with your significant other can laugh at a lot of it and laugh through it, then you\u2019re in a good spot.\u201d<\/p>\n
