\u2022 Kate McKinnon’s back. The comedian (Barbie<\/i>) left the show back in May 2022 at the end of season 47. McKinnon first joined the cast towards the end of season 37 (her first episode was in April 2012), and quickly became the anchor of the show. Over the next ten years she solidified her status as a modern day SNL legend. <\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0At one year and six months, McKinnon has one of the fastest turn around times<\/a> for a cast member to return to host the show following their departure. Her cast mate Pete Davidson, who left the show at the end of season 47 as well, has her beat at a year and four months (Davidson himself is tied with Bill Hader to the day for fastest turn around time). <\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0This will be Billie Eilish’s third appearance on the show. She made her first appearance as musical guest back in October 2019, where she made a splash with her performance of “bad guy”<\/a> (it even got its own making-of featurette<\/a>). Eilish returned to the show in December 2021, but this time she hosted in addition to being the musical guest!<\/p>\n
