\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Doja Cat<\/strong><\/a> is addressing her controversial T-shirt from an October Instagram post. <\/p>\n The 28-year-old rapper shared photos of herself wearing a shirt featuring Sam Hyde<\/strong>, an alt-right comedian<\/a> who has ties to the neo-Nazi movement. She then received lots of backlash.<\/p>\n In a new interview with Apple Music, Doja <\/strong>responded to the criticism and explained her reasoning behind wearing the shirt and sharing it on social media. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, I\u2019m not a political person at all,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel like when it comes to that sort of thing, I have to back the f\u2014ck away. Politics are not something that I wanna sweep into my life. I just want creativity and joy and just sort of the immediate reality of my friends, my family and my music and whatever. You can\u2019t know everything and me wearing a T-shirt of somebody who I thought was funny is \u2018an attack on people\u2019? It\u2019s not an attack. It didn\u2019t affect the world in a way where we now have to look behind our backs. We don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n Doja <\/strong>continued, \u201cAnd me saying that right now, I\u2019m going to get a lot of responses of, \u2018Yes it did! It\u2019s going to change everything!\u2019 I also think that I\u2019m way too f\u2014cking famous. 100 percent. I\u2019m doing what I can slowly but surely to separate myself from this kind of narrative or whatever this world is that I kind of built. And I\u2019m fine tuning it and tailoring it to what I want out of it. I feel like it doesn\u2019t matter what you say, it doesn\u2019t matter what some people know.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer isn\u2019t worried about her haters \u2013 and she knows she\u2019ll always have loyal fans. <\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s fans that I have that know I don\u2019t put any involvement into whatever the f\u2014ck that negative s\u2014it was,\u201d she said. \u201cI am more just: funny guy on T-shirt, wore it that day. But I don\u2019t need to explain myself. I don\u2019t need to prove myself to a bunch of people who are just gonna project no matter what I say, too. There\u2019s people who are incredibly dogmatic.
