The greatest gift for Us<\/em> in 2024 would be getting to see fan-favorite couples like The Bear<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Sydney and Carmy and Sweet Magnolias<\/em>\u2019 Ty and Annie finally get together on screen.<\/p>\n Since The Bear<\/em> debuted in 2022, viewers and fans alike have been divided on whether the show should explore<\/a> the potential romantic feelings between Sydney (Ayo Edebiri<\/strong>) and Carmy (Jeremy Allen White<\/strong>).<\/p>\n The pair developed a strong connection in the first two seasons while working together to open a restaurant. Despite the obstacles \u2014 including Carmy\u2019s brief romance with Claire (Molly Gordon<\/strong>) \u2014 several scenes between the coworkers featured chemistry<\/a> that was far from platonic.<\/p>\n Not everyone, however, is on board with Sydney and Carmy reevaluating their relationship through a romantic lens. Both Edebiri and White have been outspoken about wanting Sydney and Carmy to stay strictly friends<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThey got a lot of trauma on both sides. Like if even that [was explored] \u2014 I don\u2019t think that window is open,\u201d Edebiri exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in January. \u201cBut if it were, there would need to be, like, two seasons where it\u2019s just them doing therapy individually before that would even be an option.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Sweet Magnolias<\/em>\u2019 Ty (Carson Rowland<\/strong>) and Annie (Anneliese Judge<\/strong>) have been a fan-favorite pairing since the Netflix hit premiered in 2020. As lifelong friends, the twosome\u2019s timing has always been off \u2014 Annie fell for Ty before he was ready and Ty developed feelings for Annie while she was dating someone else \u2014 but Rowland thinks that\u2019s exactly what makes the potential couple so alluring<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think what they\u2019re doing is turning the furnace on so gradually to get people\u2019s excitement up,\u201d Rowland exclusively told Us<\/em> in July ahead of season 3, which saw Ty and Annie share a secret handhold<\/a> in the finale.<\/p>\n
