{"id":61964,"date":"2023-12-15T14:53:42","date_gmt":"2023-12-15T14:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/15\/kenny-deforest-nyc-comedian-dead-at-37-after-e-bike-accident\/"},"modified":"2023-12-15T14:53:42","modified_gmt":"2023-12-15T14:53:42","slug":"kenny-deforest-nyc-comedian-dead-at-37-after-e-bike-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/12\/15\/kenny-deforest-nyc-comedian-dead-at-37-after-e-bike-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenny DeForest, NYC Comedian, Dead at 37 After E-Bike Accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>Comedian Kenny DeForest has died at the age of 37.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>DeForest&#8217;s friend, Ryan Beck, announced the news on the comedian&#8217;s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/kenny-deforests-recovery\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GoFundMe<\/a><span> page, which was started following a bicycle accident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>DeForest &#8212; who performed standup on <\/span><em><span>The Late Late Show With James Corden <\/span><\/em><span>and\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Late Night With Seth Meyers &#8212;\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span>died on Wednesday at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Beck shared that DeForest had been involved in an e-bike accident on Dec. 8, and subsequently had to undergo neurological surgery to remove a piece of his skull to relieve pressure from a brain bleed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;Kenny&#8217;s impactful life will continue on through the gift of organ donation,&#8221; Beck wrote. &#8220;Even in death he will continue to make meaningful improvements in the lives of others.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The GoFundMe page was started to help DeForest&#8217;s family cover the cost of his medical bills.
