In her latest film\u00a0<\/span>Poor Things<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0Emma delivers a burning intensity and character bound for liberation,” said Chandi. “There is no one better suited for this role, and it\u00a0is our honor to present the Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress, to\u00a0Emma\u00a0Stone.”<\/span><\/p>\n The actress was previously honored at the festival in 2016, winning\u00a0the Vanguard Award alongside co-star <\/span>Ryan Gosling<\/a> and director Damien Chazelle\u00a0for\u00a0<\/span>La\u00a0La\u00a0Land —\u00a0<\/span><\/em>she went on that year to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the movie musical. This year, the\u00a0Vanguard Award will be presented to\u00a0Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio\u00a0and\u00a0Lily Gladstone for <\/span>Killers of the Flower Moon<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The Palm Springs International Film Awards is set to take place on Jan. 4, 2024\u00a0at the Palm Springs Convention Center, with the festival — sponsored by Entertainment Tonight and IHG Hotels & Resorts —\u00a0running\u00a0through Jan. 15.<\/span><\/p>\n
