Mariah Carey<\/strong> <\/a>had a very special holiday gift for her fans attending her Merry Christmas One and All!<\/em> concert<\/a> on Saturday, December 9, in New York City: a surprise reunion on stage with Jennifer Hudson<\/strong><\/a> and Ariana Grande.<\/strong><\/a> After singing \u201cOh Santa!\u201d together for Mariah Carey\u2019s Magical Christmas Special<\/em> in December 2020, they performed the song live for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a season full of surprises, y\u2019all,\u201d Hudson, 42, said on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em><\/a> on Tuesday, December 12. \u201cMiss Mariah Carey, she\u2019s always coming up with big great ideas. And she came up with the idea that her Christmas angels, which is Ariana Grande and myself, be a surprise for her Madison Square Garden performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carey, 54, originally recorded the song for her 2010 album, Merry Christmas II You.<\/em> For the \u201cOh Santa!\u201d tenth anniversary in 2020, Carey rerecorded and rereleased the song as a new remix featuring Hudson and Grande, 30. The new version served as the lead single from Mariah Carey\u2019s Magical Christmas Special<\/em> soundtrack album.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody knew we were coming,\u201d the talk show host continued on Tuesday. \u201cIt was so fun, it was like a reunion for all of us\u2026 It felt like being with family. It felt like Christmas!\u201d<\/p>\n

Hudson also proudly displayed the pearl necklace she and Grande were gifted by Carey, and added, \u201cThe crowd, when I say they went crazy \u2014 I\u2019m still getting tags on Instagram from that performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hudson shared a snippet <\/a>on Instagram of her on stage with Carey and Grande. \u201cThe Queen of Christmas\u201d also posted a photo <\/a>of their performance with the caption, \u201cGrateful to have the gorgeous and talented, the Christmas angels @arianagrande @iamjhudjoin me on stage tonight @thegarden for our song \u2018Oh Santa! (Remix)\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carey previously appeared<\/a> on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em> in November, and she revealed<\/a> that her personal favorite holiday song is not her own bestselling 1994 hit, \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

The five-time Grammy winner added that she decorates her home with a large gold-themed tree along with a smaller tree reminiscent of A Charlie Brown Christmas.<\/em><\/p>\n

When asked to name her favorite holiday movies, Carey said, \u201cI love Elf.<\/em> I like Miracle on 34th Street,<\/em> the original one.\u201d<\/p>\n
