Glen Powell<\/strong><\/a> \u201calmost died\u201d while filming a nude scene with Anyone But You<\/em><\/a> costar Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaking your clothes off on the side of a cliff in a hurry is not safe, either,\u201d Powell, 35, told Variety<\/em><\/a> about the scene, where he strips naked while Sweeney, 26, pulls a spider out of his shorts at the film\u2019s premiere in New York City on Monday, December 11. \u201cNobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast. But it\u2019s a really fun scene, so it was all worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the on-screen moment, Powell frantically rips his clothes off before Sweeney gets an eye-full of him as he\u2019s bending over. The actor admitted he knew he wasn\u2019t going to look \u201ccool\u201d while committing to the hilarious scene, so he chose to \u201cembrace\u201d the absurdity, explaining, \u201cYou just have to grip it and rip it on a scene like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The scene wasn\u2019t a walk in the park for Sweeney, either, who joked about her personal hardships while filming.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s the spider itself, which actually bit me, and that was a whole thing,\u201d the Euphoria<\/em> actress said. \u201cAnd then we have the part of Glen bending over and me checking to see if there are more spiders \u2026 I\u2019m very acquainted with Glen now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Powell and Sweeney denied the speculation during a recent appearance on Today<\/em> when host Hoda Kotb<\/strong> asked if there was \u201ca little romance<\/a>\u201d between them.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no, but we do love each other,\u201d Powell said on the December 11 episode. \u201cHonestly, this is one of the most spectacular humans I\u2019ve ever met. She\u2019s really incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweeney also assured that their relationship was strictly platonic while speaking to Variety<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a rom-com. That\u2019s what people want!\u201d she said. \u201cGlen and I don\u2019t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he\u2019s such a hard worker, and I\u2019m a hard worker.\u201d<\/p>\n
