Zac Efron<\/strong><\/a> is being honored!<\/p>\n The 36-year-old actor received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame<\/em><\/strong> on Monday afternoon (December 11) in Hollywood, Calif.<\/p>\n PHOTOS:<\/strong> Check out the latest pics of Zac Efron<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Supporting Zac<\/strong> at the ceremony were his longtime friends Miles Teller<\/strong><\/a> and wife Keleigh<\/strong><\/a> along with his The Iron Claw<\/em> co-star Jeremy Allen White<\/strong><\/a> and director Sean Durkin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Zac<\/strong>\u2018s brother Dylan Efron<\/strong><\/a> and their parents Starla Baskett<\/strong><\/a> and David Efron<\/strong><\/a> were also in attendance.<\/p>\n In his acceptance speech, Zac<\/strong> honored his late 17 Again<\/em> co-star Matthew Perry<\/strong><\/a> and gave a sweet shout-out to his breakout role in High School Musical<\/em>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been acting, singing and dancing for as long as I can remember, but never in my wildest dreams that I\u2019d imagine I would be standing here today,\u201d Zac<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n After thanking \u201cdear friends, colleagues throughout the years and lifelong fans who have been with me since day one,\u201d Zac<\/strong> paid tribute to his late 17 Again<\/em> co-star Matthew<\/strong>, who tragically died in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cCollaborating with him in the first years was so much fun,\u201d Zac<\/strong> shared. \u201cIt really did propel me and motivate me in so many ways. It really pushed me into the next chapter of my career. Thank you so much, Matthew, thinking about you a lot today.\u201d<\/p>\n Zac<\/strong> also acknowledged his High School Musical<\/em> director Kenny Ortega<\/strong><\/a> and producer Bill Borden<\/strong>, who were both in the audience.<\/p>\n \u201cYou guys were both instrumental in giving me my start in High School Musical<\/em>,\u201d Zac<\/strong> said. \u201cFor that I\u2019m just eternally grateful. I still think about it every day \u2014 I sing the songs in the shower.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGo Wildcats,\u201d Zac<\/strong> added.<\/p>\n Zac<\/strong> was the 2,767th celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
