Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> fans had a lot to say about Tony Romo<\/strong> after her referred to the pop star as Travis Kelce\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> \u201cwife\u201d while announcing the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on Sunday, December 10.<\/p>\n After Travis, 34, made an impressive play on the field, cameras cut to Taylor, 33, cheering him on in a private box, with Tony, 43, noting, \u201cAs you see, Kelce\u2019s wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience.\u201d However, he immediately corrected himself, laughing, \u201cI\u2019m sorry, girlfriend.\u201d His cohost also jumped in to add, \u201cNot yet!\u201d in response to the \u201cwife\u201d blunder.<\/p>\n Fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) with memes and GIFs to mock Tony for his mistake. \u201cThe way it just slipped out so easy,\u201d one person commented. Another wrote, \u201cWhoaaa, slow down Tony Romo. Don\u2019t get them married off just yet.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Taylor and Travis haven\u2019t made it down the aisle yet, things certainly are getting serious between them. Despite all of the public attention on their relationship, this was the sixth Chiefs game that Taylor attended to cheer on<\/a> the NFL star.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you say a relationship is public,<\/a> that means I\u2019m going to see him do what he loves,\u201d the \u201cAnti-Hero\u201d singer said in a December 6 interview with Time<\/em><\/a> magazine. \u201cWe\u2019re showing up for each other. Other people are there and we don\u2019t care.\u201d<\/p>\n She also added, \u201cI\u2019m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I\u2019m being shown too much [on TV] and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.\u201d<\/p>\n The Chiefs tight end returned the favor when he attended Taylor\u2019s Eras tour show in Argentina on November 11. Due to his busy fall football schedule, it was the only concert he was able to make since the couple went public with their relationship in September.<\/p>\n However, Taylor confirmed in her Time<\/em> interview that the romance started months before that.<\/p>\n \u201cThis all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast<\/a> on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,\u201d she explained, referring to Travis\u2019 public declaration that he wanted to meet her when he attended the Eras tour in July. \u201cWe started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I\u2019m grateful for, because we got to know each other.\u201d<\/p>\n The pro athlete shared his side of the story in a November 20 interview with The Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThere were definitely people she knew that knew who I was in her corner [who said]: \u2018Yo! Did you know he was coming [to the concert]?\u2019\u201d Travis shared. \u201cI had somebody playing Cupid<\/a>. [Taylor] told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
