The Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em><\/a> star Danielle Cabral<\/strong><\/a> slammed the trend of taking the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic<\/a> for weight loss.<\/p>\n \u201cI was with somebody today, a very dear friend of mine, who actually needs [Ozempic] for medical reasons, and cannot get it because of this stupid, bulls\u2013t behavior,\u201d the reality star, 38, told Page Six<\/em> during the Wednesday, November 6, live taping of \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea\u201d in New York City. \u201cBut she can\u2019t get it, she can\u2019t get it.\u201d<\/p>\n Danielle was seated next to her new RHONJ<\/em> castmate Jennifer Fessler<\/strong><\/a>, who has previously spoken out about her decision to continue taking Ozempic for weight loss despite believing the drug caused her recent trip to the hospital with an impacted bowel.<\/p>\n Before Jennifer, 54, could reply to \u200bDanielle\u2019s criticism of the off-label use of the diabetes drug, Danielle quipped, \u201cRun on a f\u2014king treadmill!\u201d<\/p>\n However, \u200bDanielle quickly made an exception for her fellow Bravo star, adding, \u201cNot you, Jenn. Sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n Explaining her use of semaglutide, the generic name for Ozempic, for weight loss, Jennifer said, \u201cI mean, I\u2019ve been running on a treadmill for 55 years. So, I\u2019ve been trying. I\u2019ve been tortured.\u201d The reality star called her attempts to shed pounds and her relationship with food before taking the drug a \u201cmind f\u2014k.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bravolebrity described herself as a \u201craging bulimic\u201d who tried \u201ceverything\u201d to lose weight before turning to Ozempic and called her results from the drug a \u201crelief.\u201d She said that she weighed 223 pounds at her \u201chighest\u201d before beginning her weight loss journey.<\/p>\n \u201cI wasn\u2019t obese when I joined [the show], but trust me\u2026 my head spins, my binging, my cuckoo-ness around food has been excruciatingly painful,\u201d Jennifer admitted, adding, \u201cThis is the first time I\u2019ve gotten some freedom around it.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this week, Jennifer opened up about her use of Ozempic on the premiere episode of her podcast, \u201cTwo Jersey Js,\u201d which she cohosts with fellow RHONJ<\/em> cast member Jackie Goldschneider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
