The \u2018Shake It Off\u2019 singer, 33, has been on her record breaking \u2018Eras Tour\u2019 and opened up about the impact on her body in an interview with TIME magazine, in the issue that named her its Person of the Year. <\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there. <\/p>\n
\u201cI can barely speak because I\u2019ve been singing for three shows straight. <\/p>\n
\u201cEvery time I take a step my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTaylor was announced on Wednesday (06.12.23) as the recipient of the annual TIME magazine Person of the Year honour after suggesting 2023 had so far felt like a \u201cbreakthrough\u201d moment in her stellar career. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt feels like the breakthrough moment of my career, happening at 33. \u201cAnd for the first time in my life, I was mentally tough enough to take what comes with that.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nTaylor had been on the shortlist for the title as one of nine candidates for it, alongside the likes of the film Barbie 2023 and King Charles. <\/p>\n
\nTIME has said the Person of the Year honour is given to someone who has \u201cshaped the headlines\u201d, and it declared: \u201cIn a tradition that dates back to 1927, TIME\u2019s Person of the Year is the annual designation for the person, group or concept that most shaped the headlines, for good or ill.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nTaylor appears on the cover of TIME magazine to mark the honour, and was interviewed by the outlet \u2013 with one photo shared following the announcement that she had become the latest recipient showing the singer on the cover with her cat Benjamin Button. <\/p>\n
\nHer Eras Tour this year has been a spectacular success, and it\u2019s set to resume in 2024. <\/p>\n
\nTaylor is still scheduled to perform in the countries including Australia, the UK, Spain and the Netherlands. <\/p>\n
\nThe singer also released her albums \u2018Speak Now Taylor’s Version\u2019 and \u20181989 Taylor\u2019s Version\u2019 in July and October respectively \u2013 which are re-recorded versions of her albums \u2018Speak Now\u2019 and \u20181989\u2019, which were released in 2010 and 2014 respectively. <\/p>\n
\nTaylor was also recently named Spotify\u2019s Global Top Artist of the Year, with the streaming platform sharing that there were more than 26 billion streams of her music this year. <\/p>\n
\nShe has also been named Apple Music\u2019s Artist of the Year for 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
