Pandora Nox<\/a><\/strong> made\u00a0Drag Race<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0history as the first cis gender female \u00a0queen to take the crown on the inaugural season of\u00a0Drag Race Germany<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. This Austrian queen, based in Vienna, is changing the game with her unique and eco-friendly approach to drag. A talented dancer and contortionist, her performances are a mesmerizing blend of skills. From a traditional upbringing to becoming a self-employed drag artist, Pandora\u2019s journey showcases her determination.<\/p>\n From her first mini challenge, where she dominated the fairytale photo shoot to her take on Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/strong> in the Snatch Game and her stunning runway looks, Pandora proved that she\u2019s a winner, baby (and her eye makeup is top notch.)\u00a0<\/p>\n We had the chance to talk to the newly crowned (and newly engaged) queen about her drag journey, her experience on Drag Race Germany<\/em> and lots more in our exclusive interview.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n What it\u2019s like being the first AFAB winner of any Drag Race<\/em> franchise and making her-story?<\/strong><\/p>\n So, there are two sides of the question. So, on the one hand, how I feel, for me, it\u2019s definitely the biggest accomplishment ever. Also, because I started watching Drag Race<\/em> like 10 years ago and I always thought that it would be amazing to compete and take part of it, but I\u2019m not living in the U.S. and I\u2019m a woman. And so, ten years later, I\u2019m the fucking winner of Drag Race Germany<\/em>, so, it\u2019s definitely the best feeling ever.<\/p>\n And on the other hand side, how others might feel about this, I have a feeling that it has a really big impact on the whole scene as well. Not only for women, but ln general.\u00a0 Like, of course, for other women who are doing drag\u2026and not even necessarily just about drag. Also, because I think for some people it can be really encouraging also like, achieving goals that they think they are not able to accomplish. But both sides are amazing and I love it.<\/p>\n \u200aWhat was your reaction when you found out that you were cast? \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The period of time before I got on Drag Race<\/em> was a very dark time. I had a terrible breakup out of a narcissistic relationship and things were like really bad. So, this was kind of like giving hope and also, since it was a big dream of mine, it was just like best feeling ever. And the reaction was, I think I screamed for five minutes if I remember correctly.<\/p>\n What was the biggest challenge for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n The biggest challenge for me were definitely all of the fucking comedy challenges.<\/p>\n What was your favorite thing about the season?<\/strong> Did you discover anything surprising about yourself while on the show?<\/strong><\/p>\n Yes, that I can be actually very quick in doing makeup. Before Drag Race,<\/em> it took me three hours to get ready and now I can basically do it in one hour. So, this was something that I didn\u2019t know.\u00a0<\/p>\n If you could go back and do anything over, would you?<\/strong>\u00a0 How did you get your start in drag?<\/strong><\/p>\n So, the funny thing was that I never knew that I was doing drag before. My first drag looks were back when I was a teenager, like I think 13, 14 or something \u00a0in a parent\u2019s bathroom playing secretly with my mom\u2019s makeup\u2026and I looked horrible by the way. I\u2019m glad that there are no pictures. There\u2019s no evidence \u2013 but I didn\u2019t know that I was doing drag untl a few years later when social media became relevant, I realized, oh, okay, there are other people who are doing this and there is a name for it but somehow it was always like coming in naturally. And also when I remember back then also as a child, I was like super expressive when it came to like costumes and whatever. It was something that was always there already.<\/p>\n Where does your drag name come from?<\/strong><\/p>\n Nox means goddess of the night and daughter of the chaos, which actually fits very well. And with Pandora, I was super creative because it\u2019s my real name, but no matter what Pandora itself comes from Greek mythology from Pandora\u2019s box and so Pandora\u2019s box is like something very mysterious. Everybody\u2019s curious what\u2019s inside and it takes people\u2019s attention and stuff. But when the get to know what\u2019s inside, (whisper) it\u2019s not that good actually.<\/p>\n How would you describe your style?\u00a0<\/strong> What can fans expect when they see you perform live?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Come to one of my shows and find out!\u00a0<\/p>\n What\u2019s your number one beauty tip?\u00a0\u200a<\/strong><\/p>\n My number one beauty tip is always take your makeup off. Trust me, your skin will be thankful.<\/p>\n \u200aWhat\u2019s next for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n I would say world domination.\u00a0 No, just kidding. I definitely want to improve my drag career, like new shows, new costumes, different locations where I perform, traveling, and like working at the dog shelter.<\/p>\n When did you know that you wanted to become a performer?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Performing was actually \u2013 also as a kid \u2013 always a passion of mine, but I didn\u2019t know that it was possible to have it as a job, but this is like, I think a little bit of a thought of our school system, because they just teach you that you can be successful in life when you have like a good job. So, I never thought that it\u2019s going to be a career path of mine to perform, but actually I always wanted to be a performer my whole life\u00a0since I was a kid.\u00a0<\/p>\n Who has had the biggest influence on your career and why?<\/em><\/strong> He loves waking up in the morning, very early, to go to the hospital to do like the whole pathologist work. And since I was a kid this inspired me. And I was like, I want to find this passion in a job that is for me. So, \u00a0I always had my dad in mind when it came to career stuff because I saw how passionate he was about everything. At the moment, my favorite song to perform is Brooke Candy\u2019s, \u201cEverybody Does\u201d<\/a> because, this was a song I performed at Werk the World a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n Who would you want to play you in the movie of your life?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I actually would love to play it by myself because I think that I could present myself the best. And I would always love to play some cool role in a movie.\u00a0 And is there like a cooler role than to play myself?\u00a0Hmmm\u2026<\/p>\n What superpower or talent would you like to wake up with tomorrow?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n So, superpower, definitely to fly, also because you can add, like, super cool stunts in your shows. And talent\u2026maybe to become better in comedy challenges would be great as well.<\/p>\n \u200aWhat are three things you can\u2019t live without?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Air, sleep and\u00a0vegan food.\u00a0But emotionally wise, my loved ones \u2013 \u00a0like my fianc\u00e9, my dogs, my family, drag and performing\u2026and vegan food.<\/p>\n \u200aWhat\u2019s the best piece of advice you\u2019ve been given?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Always make you happy in the first place rather than trying to make everyone else happy because you can\u2019t make everyone else happy in the first place because there are always people who are trying to complain. And second of all, while trying to make everyone else happy, you get unhappy by yourself. \u200aMy favorite thing about the season was definitely my two lip syncs because since performing is the thing that I love doing most in drag, these were my total top moments. I enjoyed it so much\u2026performing first of all on a Drag Race stage and also doing what I love most.<\/p>\n
\u200aIf I could go back and do anything over\u2026I actually would not because even though there were obviously a few things that I could have been done better, but still the outcome was amazing. So, I actually don\u2019t want to change anything.<\/p>\n

The biggest influence on my career actually has been my dad. I mean, he\u2019s doing something completely different than I do. He\u2019s a pathologist but he was always a big inspiration for me for my career because even though he\u2019s doing something completely different, he has this passion for his job and he loves his job.<\/p>\n
