The rapper, 31, announced she was making serious changes in her career, finances and personal dealings ahead of ringing in 2024 \u2013 after fans noticed she unfollowed her husband Offset, 31, on Instagram.<\/p>\n
She told her followers in an Instagram Live chat: \u201cDon\u2019t wait until the 25th or like three days before the new year. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe keep saying every year, \u2018New year, new me, new this, new that\u2019\u2026 I\u2019m taking that to the heart!\u201d<\/p>\n
Cardi, born Belcalis Alm\u00e1nzar, added she now knows exactly where she \u201cwanna be in life\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nShe declared: \u201cYou gotta rid of dead weight and when it comes to dead weight, I\u2019ll say mentality, procrastination, laziness and people.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cA lot of people are dead weight, too. Next year is gonna be all about me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe went on about her plan to change her circle of associates: \u201cBig shoes are going to have to get filled and some people are going to have to get out. Stop protecting other people\u2019s feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nCardi previously hinted at trouble with her and offset by saying online: \u201cYou know when you just outgrow relationships.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m tired of protecting people\u2019s feelings\u2026 I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nOffset, born Kiari Cephus, and Cardi have had a stormy marriage after he accused her in June of cheating \u2013 which the mum-of-two denied.<\/p>\n
\nThen in July, the rapper admitted that he lied about Cardi having an affair because he was \u201creally lit\u201d on tequila.<\/p>\n
\nCardi and Offset secretly married in September 2017 but did not confirm the news until the following June, and the pair have daughter Kulture, five, and two-year-old son Wave \u2013 while Offset is also dad to three other children from previous relationships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
