\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Suzanne Somers<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 husband Alan Hamel<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about the footwear she was buried wearing.<\/p>\n The Three\u2019s Company<\/em> actress died on October 15<\/a> at the age of 76 following a decades long battle with cancer. <\/p>\n Alan<\/strong>, 87, recently revealed that Suzanne<\/strong> was laid to rest wearing Timberland<\/em> boots, and explained the reasons behind the choice.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSuzanne never really had boots designed for hiking on the rocks, so I ordered the Timberland<\/em> boots,\u201d Alan<\/strong> told People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201c[I] made my gift personal by drawing on them in a few words that represented our life to some degree and made them very personal to Suzanne.\u201d<\/p>\n Alan<\/strong> admitted that his wife had \u201cevery Manolo Blahnik<\/em> ever made,\u201d but that it would \u201chave been predictable but not very personal\u201d to bury her in the company\u2019s shoes.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery time she put on the Timberlands<\/em>, she said, \u2018I am wearing you, and my boots will keep me safe,\u2019\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n Alan<\/strong> also shared that the boots were connected to his and Suzanne<\/strong>\u2018s morning routine, which involved hiking to the top of a nearby mountain \u201cwhere there was a creek and a large flat rock in the middle of the creek.\u201d<\/p>\n The TV host continued, \u201cBy the time we got there, which was about a two-hour hike, the rock had been warmed by the morning sun. We would have our lunch on the rock and then take a one-hour nap on the rock and then hike back down and go to work.\u201d<\/p>\n
