Days after The Golden Bachelor<\/em> finale,<\/a> runner-up Leslie Fhima<\/a><\/strong> is dropping new bombshells about her final days with Gerry Turner<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 64-year-old fitness instructor gave her first post-show interview on the Monday, December 4, episode of the\u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast<\/a>, telling hosts and Bachelor in Paradise<\/em> couple Joe Amabile <\/strong>and Serena Pitt<\/strong> that Gerry, 72, made promises to her in the fantasy suites that he didn\u2019t keep.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe made plans with me for [the] future. He said kind of, like, \u2018Save the date, this is what we\u2019re going to do. I can\u2019t wait for us. [In] two more days, we\u2019ll be done with this [and] be together, start our life.\u2019 Did he say, \u2018Will you marry me?\u2019 in there, no, but he all but said that,\u201d Leslie claimed. \u201cI would\u2019ve been happy with just, \u2018I love you,\u2019 but he took it to a different level.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, November 30, finale of the ABC series, fans watched Gerry end things with Leslie after deciding he had stronger feelings for Theresa Nist<\/strong>. At After the Final Rose,<\/em> Gerry confirmed he made up his mind during his overnight date with Theresa, 70, which came after he spent the night off camera with Leslie.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe woke up the next morning and he left [and] turned around three times and blew me kisses. He didn\u2019t want to leave. That\u2019s why I wasn\u2019t worried that he was going on a date [with Theresa],\u201d Leslie continued. \u201cI just knew that he had to get through the motions of it. And I mean, I was 100 percent sure that I was it. \u2026 He didn\u2019t say, \u2018I have such a hard decision to make.\u2019 Nothing like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gerry explained to viewers that he and Theresa planned to get married \u201cright away\u201d after their proposal was announced during The Golden Bachelor live finale in November 2023. On the show, Leslie accused Gerry of blindsiding her<\/a>. During their AFR<\/em> reunion, he apologized \u2014 but Leslie didn\u2019t accept.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I didn\u2019t get a ton of closure with him, but that\u2019s OK. I felt like I closed it with myself,\u201d Leslie said. \u201cWhat can [the lead] say? They had to make a choice. It\u2019s his journey, his choice. But he could have chosen not to say those things to me. That\u2019s all. He said he wasn\u2019t ready [or] his heart wasn\u2019t ready, or something like that. I kind of was glazing over at that point, But I didn\u2019t get closure from him. And I don\u2019t know if anything he would\u2019ve said would\u2019ve really given me closure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following Gerry and Theresa\u2019s engagement<\/a>, Theresa joined him on stage and the twosome announced that they are getting married live<\/a> on ABC on January 4, 2024. The couple have since revealed plans to move to Charleston<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ABC has yet to announce or pick up The Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>, but fans and host Jesse Palme<\/strong>r have voiced their support for a spinoff series with a senior female lead. Leslie hinted to Joe and Serena that she would be down to hand out roses \u2014 but would not say \u201cI love you\u201d to her contestants after Gerry said the L-word to Leslie, Theresa and second runner-up Faith Martin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI, for sure, would never tell anyone I love them until I am on that platform with them and I know it. I just wouldn\u2019t do that,\u201d Leslie said. \u201cI would never want to hurt anyone the way I was hurt or blindsided. My heart is precious to me and I\u2019m just not going to give it to anybody. And when you say I love you to somebody, it means something. And I just don\u2019t throw that word around. I haven\u2019t said it in a really long time to someone, so it meant something to me to say it to Gerry. I know it would be hard \u2014 I\u2019m sure it\u2019s hard when you, maybe, do love two different people or three different people, but I just wouldn\u2019t say it. I would just show my affection in a different way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[He said] something about choosing Theresa over me and I thought that was harsh,\u201d she said. \u201cHe could have maybe said that a little bit nicer, especially because being chosen is kind of my [soft spot],\u201d Leslie said before agreeing with Joe when he compared Gerry\u2019s temperament to a business transaction. \u201cGerry \u2014 I feel like he switched. \u2026 I should have said, \u2018I thought you were a man of integrity instead of [saying] you are a man of integrity.\u2019 Because at the end of the day, he didn\u2019t really have the integrity that I thought he had. I mean, listen, I know what I signed up for. \u2026 I didn\u2019t expect it to be so hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
