Kourtney Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> \u200bbelieves that the women in her family pick bad life partners due to \u201cgenerational\u201d trauma\u201d stemming from her grandmother.<\/p>\n During the season 4 finale of The Kardashians<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, November 30, Kourtney, 44, discussed the subject with mom Kris Jenner<\/strong><\/a> and sister Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>, revealing that her own therapy experience was to thank for her discovery.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t start a self-awareness journey knowing what I was doing,\u201d Kourtney revealed during a confessional. \u201cI started therapy through a toxic relationship and then learned so much about myself, about my family, about why I do certain things, about our childhood wounds, about how they show up in intimate relationships, generational trauma.\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to marrying<\/a> husband Travis Barker<\/strong> in 2022, Kourtney was in a nine-year relationship<\/a> with Scott Disick<\/strong> that produced three children. She broke up with him for good in 2015 due to his partying ways and rumored infidelity.<\/p>\n Khlo\u00e9, 39, had her doubts, telling her sister, \u201cNo offense or anything, but we all have f\u2013king problems, just buckle up and let\u2019s go,\u201d but Kourtney was determined to change her mind.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s certain patterns to break. You don\u2019t want to pass things down to your kids,\u201d the Poosh founder continued, and had a surprising answer when Khlo\u00e9 asked, \u201cAnd you think picking bad partners is a genetic thing?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s generational. It\u2019s from MJ,\u201d Kourtney responded, referring to Kris\u2019 mother<\/a>, Mary Jo \u201cMJ\u201d Houghton<\/strong>, who was married three times.<\/p>\n \u201cWe all have picked people we thought we could change different things about them and we can\u2019t,\u201d the Lemme founder stated.<\/p>\n Kris, 68, wasn\u2019t having it, telling her eldest daughter, \u201cI\u2019m not even thinking about that.
