Wes Bentley<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about the recent, and big, Yellowstone<\/strong><\/a><\/em> headlines that fans have been talking about since the start of the month.<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t see, there seems to be some drama involving Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s filming schedule for the back half of season five<\/a>, which is still planned to premiere in the summer.<\/p>\n

During his appearance at SCADTV Fest, Wes <\/strong>is sharing his thoughts on the situation and revealed if he\u2019s ever thought of a Yellowstone <\/em>without Kevin<\/strong>\u2018s John Dutton.<\/p>\n

Wes <\/strong>told TVLine<\/a> that he has imagined a Yellowstone <\/em>without John Dutton. However, it\u2019s been a few seasons.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought about this in Season 1,\u201d he admitted. \u201cIt\u2019s always a possibility in TV, right? We\u2019re always ready to die\u2026 [And John] really has got this hypnotic pull on Jamie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wes <\/strong>says that he relates what Kevin <\/strong>leaving the show would look like for his own character, Jamie, who is John Dutton\u2019s adopted son. <\/p>\n

He adds that John\u2019s death at that time would have turned Jamie\u2019s world upside down.<\/p>\n

\u201cJamie would have been completely lost, he says. \u201cMaybe part of him would be frantic trying to take care of the ranch. I really do think he means what he says. He would feel that burden and maybe panic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now though, Jamie\u2019s storyline has changed, and it\u2019s been a hot minute since Wes has really thought about the future for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter John ran for governor and became the thing he said he hated, Jamie started to have a change of perspective,\u201d he shared. \u201cMaybe John is not this tough guy he says he is. Maybe John doesn\u2019t have ideas. Maybe he\u2019s just another guy like the rest of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the loss of the pedestal [he was on],\u201d he continued. \u201cThe deity is gone. I think that\u2019s why Jamie\u2019s choosing to try to have him killed. [He realizes that his] life would be much better without him, which is a big change for Jamie.\u201d<\/p>\n
